The Associate Press reports tonight that the body of freelance videographer David Hames has been found amid the rubble of the Hotel Montana.
Hames and his colleage, Compassion International’s Dan Woolley, had been in Haiti filming for a project for Compassion. Compassion has been working in Haiti since 1968, helping to rescue children from physical and spiritual poverty.
According to OneNewsNow.com, the pair had been in the lobby of the hotel when the earthquake hit. A wall fell and a portion of the ground opened. Woolley made his way to an elevator shaft and was rescued 60 hours later.
Hames leaves behind his wife Renee and their two adopted children.
