New Obama ads to air on Christian radio

Get ready, red- and battleground-state Christian radio fans. David Brody, at CBNNews.com, says new radio ads supporting Barak Obama are coming to a Christian radio station near you. The ads are from the Matthew 25 Network political action committee, and will begin airing in Michigan, Colorado, Ohio, Missouri, Indiana, Virginia and North Carolina. Don't live in those states (or listen to Christian radio)? Here's the audio of the ads. The first, sharing Obama's Christian faith story:

Brody points to two more ads that will also air, including this one from "pro-life conservative legal scholar Douglas Kmiec" who answers the question, Can you be pro-life and support Obama?:

Here's the Manifest Obama Sanctuary video

I told you yesterday about a creepy video made by Obama supporters that used the worship song Sanctuary as a soundtrack for dozens of people chanting Barak Obama, with a New Age mantra scrolling across the screen.

The video has been taken off YouTube.com but I told you I'd keep looking for a link so you could see it for yourself.

Well, thanks to TruNews.com's Marshall Washburn for sending along a link to the Manifest Obama video. A little more digging lead me to a site where I could grab the video. Hopefully it'll stay up long enough for you to see it.

So, what do you think? Creepy? Cult-like? Offensive use of a worship song?

Is Obama your Sanctuary?

manifestobama.jpgGlenn Beck highlighted a video on his show this morning, and frankly I just about fell over. It's since been taken off YouTube.com but I'll keep looking for another link. (Found it: see the video in this post.) The ManifestObama.com website says "this site is no longer here," but it's still disturbing, nonetheless.

(This just in: The ManifestObama.com site is down, but you can see still the cache of the page. It comes to you from the touchy, feeling, reveal your inner wisdom, New Age site, Wisdomology.com.)

The video, from ManifestObama.com, used the worship song "Sanctuary" as a soundtrack to dozens of people saying the name, "Barak Obama," with the following copy scrolling across the screen (thanks to P.J. Gladnick at Newsbusters.com for the transcription):

The truth about Christian pianist Huntley Brown's email about Obama

HuntleyBrown.jpgChristian pianist Huntley Brown probably isn't a household word in the Christian music industry, but for many who rely on chain, forwarded emails as their personal soapboxes, he may be a familiar name.

That's because there's an email written by Brown making the rounds in which he clearly and specifically lays out his thoughts on why he will not be voting for Obama in November.

In the email, Brown says, "Many of my friends process their identity through their blackness. I process my identity through Christ ... I can't vote black because I am black; I have to vote Christian because that's who I am. Christian first, black second."

The problem, as we all know, is that those chain emails are rarely legit. Except, in this case, the go-to site for the truth about hoaxes and urban myths, Snopes.com, verifies that Brown did write that email.

But he didn't write it for you.
