This is a very important moment in your life. This is the time when you can choose to make a decision and a commitment for the best possible life you can have. No matter what has happened in your life up until now, it makes no difference. The past does not equal the present and now you have the choice and ability to start fresh right now and make a commitment that will change your life forever.
Anyone who has ever succeeded in any area of life has made a commitment and kept it consistently. They have a strong belief in the power of commitment. Look at anyone who has succeeded in life and you will find they have the strongest commitment. They are ‘all in.’ Nothing will stop them from moving forward and completing their commitment to themselves and others. Commitment is power.
The following passage by W. H. Murray with the Scottish Himalayan Expedition is one of the most powerful definitions of commitment. You can read this passage every day and build and strengthen your commitment.
The passage by Goethe is incredible and states that the present is the greatest point of power and that you can do anything now. Begin it!
‘Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back,
always ineffectiveness (and creation) there is one elementary truth,
the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans:
