There are many examples of how belief systems affect people, their thoughts, feeling, actions and realities.  There have been studies in sleep, health, sports, relationship, business, etc. that all show how strong positive or negative beliefs affect people and their results.  Make sure that your beliefs support you and your well being for optimal health, wealth and perfect self-expression.

‘In all instances, the one constant that most powerfully affected all results was belief, the consistent, congruent messages delivered to the brain and nervous system.  Belief is nothing but a state, an internal representation that governs behavior.  The birth of excellence begins with our awareness that our beliefs are a choice.  It is our belief that determines how much of our potential we will be able to tap.  Beliefs can turn on or off the flow of ideas.’

                                                Tony Robbins

How are beliefs created?  Where do they come from?
There are five areas that affect beliefs:

1)   Our environment

2)   The events in our lives (9/11, the Olympics, economy, etc)

3)   Knowledge (direct experience, reading, movies, internet, other people)

4)   Past results

5)   Creating in your mind what you desire

In the previous chapter we looked at the power of commitment.  Achieving excellence and success in any area requires commitment and belief working together.  You must believe it is possible and be totally committed to doing whatever it takes to achieve your results and succeed.  There is no great success without great commitment and powerful belief.  Take a look at anyone that you feel is a role model for success in any area of life whether it is health, sports, leadership, relationship, business, etc.  They have a huge, massive commitment and empowering belief systems that fuel them and propel them to success against any obstacle or challenge.

Look at the lives of Jim Thorpe, Babe Ruth, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Mohammed Ali, Tiger Woods, Derek Jeter, Roger Federer, Warren Buffet, Bill Gates, Martin Luther King, Mother Teresa, Paramahansa Yogananda, Roy Eugene Davis, Mahatma Gandhi, Franklin Delano Roosevelt and John F. Kennedy.  Every successful and powerful leader harnessed the magic of belief, faith and commitment and had positive energy, vision and purpose fueling them on to greatness.

‘And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing

ye shall receive them.

                                                         Matthew 21:22

‘Therefore I say unto you, what things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them and ye shall have them.’

                                                Mark 11:24
