I don’t know, maybe the taping and scheduling of shows gets planned too far in advance for there to be a change of dates. Probably a simple mistake, that takes on more than one meaning. NBC should just say, “oops!”>

Huh. Just earlier today I was watching an episode of THE SIMPSONS, where the Church was having an ice-cream fair with Lovejoy’s table reading “Cruci-fixin’s”—seems weird to see it here like, an hour later. Possibly something divine in that, don’t ask me what…’course, there’s no scheduling snafu there. I don’t think the show was trying to “mock the crucifixion” so much as they were making a minor pun on the name. Maybe these people just don’t like the show. Anyway, if I ran the network, I’d just change the date or the name of Britney’s show, whatever. God bless!>

Oh please to most Christian conservatives, “Will & Grace” is an offense.>

I can not believe my eyes what will they think of next? OOps they were not thinking. You just do not ridicule religion and that is just not done. I find it offense and disgusting to say the least. I for one will not be watching this latest “attempt” at grabbing ratings.>

I will have to watch just to see what all the hoopla is about! Thanks for letting me know about this show I will make sure everyone else is made aware so they can watch also.>

My first reaction, as a Christian who also happens to be gay, was to groan, “Oh, thanks ever so much, ‘Will and Grace,’ for exacerbating The Troubles.” Then again — if anyone has ever read through Ship of Fools’ “Gadgets For God,” or The Door magazine’s Green Weenie Awards, or encountered bizarro fundagelical artifacts like the infamous and grossly misnamed “Easter Cookies” recipe (please don’t tell me that Britney is baking those in that upcoming W&G episode)…certain segments of Christendom are constantly, unwittingly, parodying themselves to the point where they really need no help from anyone else. They dishonor and diminish the Christian story through their own displays of bad taste, theological ignorance and compulsion toward end-justifies-the-means “evangelism.” I think that the time slot for this particular episode is probably the most objectionable thing about it; pull it and reschedule it.>

Being a Buddhist, not Christian, I couldn’t care less about the Cruci-fixins, though I do have to admit it has a nice ring to it. Good for the execs. High-fives for all! ;p>

As a gay Episcopalian who takes Good Friday very seriously, I really see nothing to be offended at here. It’s a sitcom. Get a sense of humor.>

What else would one expect from Hollywood and the tv industry? They never have been all that sensible nor have they cared overly about being sensitive in how they approach subjects. Most of what is on tv appears to have been dreamed up by minds that are still in adolescence or that are perpetually in the “gutter”. Why else would a tv executive abandon a quality show for the family in order to produce “more male-oriented fare”? I don’t miss tv one bit….>

I can only wonder if the same people who are outraged over this think the same towards the political comics depicting Muslim figures with bombs for their turbins…>
