As much as I'll miss it... It is better to have a planned arc, and stick to it, than to draw it out and wind up forced to end by ratings, or just 'stop'.

Babylon 5 also had a predetermined termination date and was better for that. If only 'Heros' had been limited to one season...

Wow! This is a shocker and a disappointment. I was afraid they'd say there would be no season four. But the other posters are right: It's better to go out on top and leave fans wanting more, than to drag on for seven years and endure diminishing quality. I've always been a SF fan, but Galactica transcends genre to become one of the best series ever on TV. From the acting to the plot to the music, BG rules! I'm so there for season four, and I'll miss it dearly when it's gone. Part of BG's appeal for me is its spirituality. I think it makes total sense to give a nod to it on Bnet.

i'll miss BSG deeply, but i think it is better to have an ending planned. when a show can go on and on forever it loses something. i'm right there tho with the writing in yelling "frak".

I just can't believe another good sci-fi go's by the wayside. Not to mention the untimely demise of Star Trek and another potential hit Earth2.This should have ended at least at Earth.

Another good show leaves the airway's prematurely.Star Trek and another potentially good show Earth 2 also left too soon. This should at least end up by Galactica reaching Earth!

I loved the show; hated trying to guess where the frak the story line was headed. ...and to see the show forced into a panic ending, that either comes too soon or leaves us hanging, will lead to either a A) movie or B) new series.
To BattleStar Galactica... Live Long and Prosper (in syndication)!
