Paris is Back in Jail: The Saga That Just Won't End
Media outlets yet again had a field day today when everyone's favorite celebutante, Paris Hilton, was ordered back to jail--one day after being released by the L.A. Sheriff's Department, who had released Hilton to serve out the rest of her...
There's an incredibly simple explanation for her behavior this week: addiction.
She was in jail the first time long enough to start withdrawal. Having her private shrink help her get out just confirms it for me.
I don't know many non-celebrity convicts who get to go home because they miss their favorite drug(s). I have closer to zero sympathy for Hilton now than I did when she went to jail on Sunday.
I am not shocked at any news in LA with the stars I do agree that she should spend her time in jail. Martha Stewart did her time. Paris just remember that the judge has to send a message to the stars so you just happen to violate a court order and you ran out of chances and thats why you have to go to jail. The judge could have gave you 6months then you would be going to a women correction facility so just pray to god to help you get through the next 21 days. I will keep you in my throughts and prayers I Love You Girl!

Paris has created her own Karma and has to answer for the choices that she has made. Much of this has to do with the values that she was raised with. Her parents raised her to do anything to be the center of attention and to groom herself to socialize with and to marry into money. Well all of us who are struggling with finances know that we have our moments of sadness but even without money we can have our moments of joy. Many people who have money feel that they are blessed and use it to do give back to the world around them. Our press is so obsessed with Paris and Anna Nicole and Lindsey Lohan but we have to search hard to find information about the thousands of children who are sold into slavery or prostitution around the world or to even talk honestly about how the drug culture is destroying our society and no one seems to do anything about it. It just goes to show what a Capitalistic society creates. Step over anyone else to get ahead and money rules. There are some contries with Socialist Democricies who are taught that it is our responsibility to see that everyone should have a fair shake. With that attitude we could finally have peaceful life on this planet instead of thousands of years of fighting and killing to take everything that we can for ourselves and have all of the power. It seems to be the most honest statement ever when it is said that power corrupts.
I came from a monied family and thought the sun didn't rise until I did. After a number of stunts that became near "urban myth" it was made abundantly clear to me by a number of sources, one being the United States Army, that I was no better than anyone else. My grandparents bent over backwards to teach me values and I simply refused to listen...easy stuff really--Golden Rule, accept responsibility etc. Thankfully, I wised up in a very short period of time and I look upon Ms. Hilton as a pawn of her own making. She has finally been told, "NO, you CAN'T do whatever you want..." for the first time in her 26 years. If her confinement doesn't wise her up, then her future will leave nothing to the imagination; just more of the same. The only thing worse for her is to be ignored......
PARIS HILTON CRY IT IS NOT FAIR.SHE SHOULD BREAK THE LAW.SHE IS WEALTH SPOIL BRAT.I HAVE CLOSER TO ZERO SYMPATHY FOR PARIS HILTON.I DON'T KNOW ANY NON-CELEBRITY WHO GET TO GO HOME IF THEY BREAK THE LAW OR CAN HAVE A HIGH PAYING LAWYER.SHE THINK SHE CAN DO WANT SHE DO.MONEY TALKS.
I have zero sympathy for Paris. This spoiled, bubble head, chick thinks that she can do whatever she wants just because she has money. God forbid that she kills somebody while driving drunk. Why the hell should she not have to face her consequences? Because she's rich, whatever happened to justice for all? What kind of freaking example are we sending to our children that if you are rich enough you can get away with anything. Well screw that people I hope they lock her up and throw away the key she is a waste of breath and contributes nothing but drama and nothingness to the world. Im glad shes back in jail wake up you are not exempt because you're rich.
I got a DUI in 2005, that
Dui cost me 5,538.00, and six months of my life. I spent 19 hours in jail missed over 2 weeks of work all these classes that cost out the space of things, a hardship lic. so I could work, the stress guilt and shame of it all. I will never drink again. Yes she should have to do like every person in the US, do the crime and do the time.
I am not rich at all, however what i said above is nothing for her, she can be taken from place to place if she needs drink. What if she would have taken a life or two. This was a real eye opener for me, and should be for her as well.
Just thought I would share.

I agree Paris probaly needed to get to her drugs. I don't feel sorry for her. Why does this country care so much about what she does, that other person to Anna---she is nobody special what the heck is it. If they would just ignore her maybe she will go away. Come on now when she is having sex--the video floating around. who cares. Paris go away. Be like your sister climb under a rock and do some good behind and no we don't want to hear about it. Poor Britney Spears.
What i dont understand is you have these young stars who are pretty and rich and they just screw their life up. We need young ladies who are actually going to set some good examples for our young childeren out here. I dont feel sorry for her and I feel no matter who you are you should pay for your consquences.
I AM NO FAN OF PARIS HILTON. SHE IS A SPOILED-
SELFINDULGENT BRAT THAT NEEDS TO GROW UP. AS MUCH
MONEY AS SHE HAS -- SHE HAS ABSOLUTELY NO RESPECT FOR IT. I REMEMBER READING AN ARTICLE WHERE SHE
SPENT THIS OUTRAGEOUS AMOUNT FOR A HOTEL ROOM FOR ONE NIGHT AND I REMEMBER THINKING I KNOW PEOPLE WHO LIVE ON LESS IN A MONTH THEN SHE SPENT FOR THAT ROOM FOR THE NIGHT. AS I SAID- I AM NO FAN BUT ANSWER THIS QUESTION--"DO YOU SLEEP BETTER AT
NIGHT KNOWING PARIS HILTON IS IN JAIL?" I HAVE HAD SOME EXPERIENCE WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT--NOT MUCH
THOUGH--AND I TELL YOU NOW PEOPLE WHO HAVE DONE
WORSE THEN THIS HAVE SPENT LESS TIME. IT IS LIKE A REVOLVING DOOR IN MOST PRISONS/JAILS. THEY HAVEN'T GOT THE ROOM TO HOUSE ANYTHING BUT THE WORST CASES. DO YOU FEEL SHE NEEDS TO BE A GUEST OF THE CITY--PERSONALLY I WOULD FINE HER SO BAD THAT SHE WOULD THINK 6X'S BEFORE SHE TOOK ANOTHER DRINK AGAIN. IF NOTHING ELSE--SOMEONE WILL GET A
DECENT PAYING JOB OUT OF IT AS SHE WILL HAVE TO
HAVE SOMEONE DRIVE HER AROUND ALL THE TIME.
The vehemency at which people comment about Paris is really something. It is not that I think that she should be allowed any special favors. I really think that this is difficult for her having come from a lap of luxury.
There is not one person out there that would not look for a way out if they could --- So take it easy folks! And just remember there is probably a bunch of us working-class stiffs that dreams about living large. Easy on the Self-righteousness!
Breaking the law has its consequences and this is the lesson that Paris is learning big time. Having come from the lap of luxury where she has been spoiled - yeah this is a very abrupt step down. I pray that she learns from this and who knows folks - perhaps she will grow from this.
Maybe this is not news about the terrible things that are happening in the world - yet judging from people's comments - there is a lot of anger out there and somehow I sense jealousy also.
Enough already
!
There just has to be something of more value to discuss
hey i had to do 3 months just for spitting on someone. What she did was way worse than that.
I'm not sure why Paris is so popular. She isn't pretty. She isn't talented. She broke the law. She isn't any different than the rest of us. Her jail time wasn't up and the judge has an honor-bound right to protect the citizens from alcoholics like her.
they should give her 120 days.like they would lo income.but rules.are not for the ritch.
Hi everybody out there. Yes it is so easy to point the finger and past judgement on someone else. Maybe because we are for the most part. Not as gifted with things and money and all that glamor. When you look at all she hads and all she could hav done with it. something should tell you, that she is not that happy little girl, that everyone thinks.Who really knows what really is. Only what we see in front of us and in the news and what we are told. Yes she is wrong and she should pay her fair dues. but we live in a world that allows things to be for all the wrong reasons. Did anyone think that this girl, is in reality crying out for help. Where are all those so called friends. No money or power to help her. but a friend is all you need in the darkest ofthe hours . Dont see any here for her. She will learn alot thru this. I hope she really does. She seems to have all but one thing. One thing, that money cant buy. that is love. Love of self and love of other humanbeings. take a good look in the mirror and be thankfull, this isnt you that is in this situation. You just never know. Never never know.
SHE DESERVE WHAT SHE GET BECAUSE IF IT WAS SOMEONE ELES THEY WOULD HAVE TO DO THERE TIME IN JAIL WITHOUT THE CHANCE OF GETTIN RELEASE.
Everytime I see a picture of Paris Hilton and her friends posing for a picture, I get sick! The solution is simple: STOP SNAPPING HER PICTURE. When she realizes that she is NOT the exact center of the universe, she will really lose it and call for her Mother.
Maybe she will use this time to reflect on her life. Maybe she will study and get her GED.
I doubt it.
Like all the rest who have commented, either i have no sympathy for Paris Hilton. She has everything, and yet she ruins her life. She is an attention seeker and this incident is a hard lesson for her. She should be put in jail as per the rule of law, and hope she change for the better.
What is going to be done to reprimand the Sherrif's office that let her go home on house arrest. I wouldn't believe that a law enforcement office could change a Judge's sentence. Her mom and dad need to grow up before anyone can expect Paris to grow up. Her parents need to know that they are her PARENTS, not her FRIENDS.
Paris I know that you know if you do the crime you must do the time. You need to suck it up and get a life. If Martha Stewart made it through so can you. Martha Stewart is richer than she was when she went in. You are showing all young people all over the world that is O.K. to do wrong and not get punished for it. Thanks Paris. You call yourself a role model-not. YOu are a nice and sweet person, but you must do the time.
I'm sorry Paris, if a person does wrong, there is a consequence to pay, sooner with the law, if not caught, it tell us all the kind of portrayal of you or whoever, for the young people growing up as well as adults and citizens, veterans (who have fought for your freedom to do wrong). Please have more respect for the ones who have given their life for you as well as us all.
I have zero sympathy for you-Paris. You caused it yourself. These drugs and drinking is not the right way to go. SERVR THE ONE WHO PUT YOU HERE NOT THE ONE TRYING TO DESTROY YOU.
I believe Paris should serve her time and be quiet about it. She did the crime and now mustg do the time. She is not better than any one else in this world, just richer.Exactly what talent does she have that everyone is so interestd in her? Please she is not proving anything to anyone, except she is spoiled and a big baby.Paris might have the clothes, the pcoketbooks, and the money but she does not have a license to drive or her freedom. Enough already!!
HELLO! So you think Paris has "bad Karma". Well duh! Of course she does. BAD KARMA IS EARNED.
In the same Jail where Paris is, there's a young lady who served in Iraq and had 1 leg amputated and the other 1 to the knee when their Jeep was hit by a Rocket. She is serving a 3 month sentence for DUI.
When she was initally booked, her prostheses were taken away from her, the Jail consider's them to be 'dangerous'. They gave her a wheelchair instead to get around in. The problem is, the Jail isn't 100% wheelchair accesible. She cannot take a shower, her chair is larger than the door. When she complained, she was told to get out of her chair and 'scoot over on her behind to the showers'.
NO SPECIAL TREATMENT FOR THIS INJURED VET.wHY ISN'T SHE IN THE hOSPITAL PART OF THE jAIL, AS MS. HILTON IS?
If so many people are enthralled by you, Ms. Hilton, perhap's talking about the danger's of drinking and driving to young people would be a worth while effort on your part instead of all this bad role-modelling that you're doing.
I am somewhat taken aback by the vehemency against Paris. I haven't paid that much attention to her before this jail sentence, but it seems the green eyed monster has reared his ugly head!! Maybe we should remember that ENVY is one of the seven deadly sins...
Why hate someone just because they're rich? Any one of us, with all the privileges she has would probably be just as spoiled, just as wanting to avoid the penalties of DUI... You know how it goes: Judge not, lest ye be Judged!!
Out of all these posts, only 3 are truly sane and have some measure of compassion, and I don't mean "poor little rich girl", but rather a sensible "let's put things in the right perspective, and not subscribe to a mob mentality". If she's is an alcoholic, or a drug addict, she needs help like anyone else. And I've never heard Paris herself say that she deserves special treatment, or make some Leona Helmsley type statement about only "little people paying taxes". She's done some silly things, but haven't we all?? And so what if she cries for her mother? I would too in that situation. We're all creatures of habit, and hers just happens to be wealth and privilege, so this incarceration is a shock to her and a HUGE wake up call. Let her answer (in Peace), and in time she may grow from this experience.
