Kirk needs to quit.
Talk about your sampling liberties and literary license taken unbelievably too far! I sure hope he lauds Micheal McDonald and Sugar Ray Leonard copiously in the credits for this incredulous pop entertainment collage.
This video has very little to nothing whatsoever to do with the real Gospel of Jesus. It just sounds good and looks exciting, pretty much like the pop offerings of the rest of the secular entertainment world. I’m not terribly impressed, nor particularly sure that “This is it” for me.

“This is Kirk”. The video, the music, the props are in very good taste and very entertaining in my opinion, and the message is clear. Church folk, let’s not be too critical, so what if he borrowed a line or a few notes from another arrangement. Artist do it all the time. Kirk Franklin is unique in his expression and I for one, honor that expression because it is neither vulgar or disrespectful. The point is the MESSAGE. Do you get it? I got it and welcome it.

When gospel music came on the scene I believe in the forties or introduced by Thomas Dorsey it was considered radical because anthems, spirituals etc. were sung. Can you imagine thinking Mahalia Jackson, James Cleveland and all the gospel greats were radical. The song “Precious Lord” by Dorsey was radical. Change or growth for the uplifting of God is good. Jesus bought change and as we know he was not accepted by everyone. I say Halleujah and thankyou Jesus for inspiring those who created this music for those would not listen to religious music, that’s who God wants the lost,, forgotten, confused and if this genre will do it, God bless him!!!!!

If one being a true believer by the Spirit and not by the flesh, the message would and should have been clear. Take the time to not judge, yet ye be judged but the same. No one complains about the language in todays secular music, but we find every thing wrong with one who is blessed to do that which enlightens others. Secular singers know Christ better than the some of us so called Christians.
You pay too much attention to the outer part of the vessel, but fail to clean the inner part of the vessel. You know what I mean, so don’e get all twisted about the wording!
Check yourselves within, before you judge others. Now what are you going to do? Give to God thanks for the messsege. Stop crucifying the messengers.
Daily we fight for our lives for the things are of the Spirit and in Truth.

I CANNOT EXPLAIN ENOUGH HOW THIS SONG IS SO…..UPLIFTING!! I was under attack emotionally a few mos ago, I got in my car, turned this song up soooo…..oooo loud, and I got ministered too, ok, it wasn/t super loud, but loud enough to drive satan/s attack away. Kirk , I thank GOD, that you let him use you, to get the message out the way you do, and of course , I give a shout out to my CUZ, SHAUN, who works along with you….
