Patrick Swayze May Be Dying

posted by dross | 12:15pm Wednesday March 5, 2008

patrickswayzepicforidolchat.jpgI’m really not in the business of rumor mongering, but it’s being reported by many media outlets that Patrick Swayze, the beloved hunk from such classic films as “Dirty Dancing,” “Ghost,” and “Roadhouse” may be dying of late-stage pancreatic cancer that has spread throughout his body. He’s reportedly been given 5 weeks to live. Neither Swayze, an avid defender of religion, nor his publicist, have confirmed or denied the reports.
If this is all true, it’s a sad, sad day. As one heartbroken Beliefnet staff member said, the actor “made me fall in love with ballroom dance and romance and dancing in the water.”

Patrick Sayze is dying.
We’re all dying – the only question is how many days we have until the inevitable catches up with us.

Friends,
We lost our 42 yr old son to cancer in 2005. We are consoled through many confirmations that he is truly happy, very happy, in Heaven. How do we know this? First of all, we prayed that St Padre Pio take our son as his child and bring him out of the darkness of the cancer and bring him home from the hospital.
The very next day, Pio appeared to Adam and told him “it’s time”. Adam responded “No, I’m not going now. I want to see Mom & Dad first”.
A friend brought over a prayer that Jesus gave to St. Bridget, St. Elizabeth of Hungary, and St. Matilda that to honor the precious drops of blood He lost during His passion, to say 2 Our Fathers, 2 Hail Marys, and 2 Glory Bes, promised: 1)full remission of all sins at the moment of death 2)He would come personally from Heaven to bring you home 3) You would not spend one moment in purgatory 4) should you die within the three year period, it would be considered you prayed the 3 yrs because of your intention.
Adam went very peacefully with all of us at his side.
It’s a simple prayer and can be started at any time.
–Adam & Ruth

Hearing the news today about Patrick Swayze made me prayer for him and remember and enjoy the performances he’s given all of us. I believe God has a plan for all of us, and a time when we are complete in this world, and ready for more completion in the afterlife, and that is God’s plan.
I also know a wonderful healer that has had many cases, over 30 years of successful healings and complete recoveries, for most forms of cancer, when medical doctor’s have said “it’s the end”, and that’s also been in God’s plan. Albertus Antonius Poland, Alkmaar, Holland (the Netherlands) +31 72 562 3085, is that healer. If it’s God’s plan for Patrick Swayze to receive this information, that is God’s plan. May God bless us all.

I’m touched by the outpouring of warmth and concern for Partick and his family. I am a cancer survivor and have joined the many who live day to day diven by hope and support from my loved ones. Yes, life is a terminal illness in itself but it has so many wonderful things to offer that we want to go on as long as we can so that we can share that joy with our loved ones. Patrick is doing exactly that, enjoying his every minute and staying positive and making life for his loved ones as normal as he can which helps them. That is what I see in his face and can tell from the few words he has spoken on the subject. I wish him and his family the best and may he continue to win his battle with this dreaded disease – if anyone has the courage and stamena, it is Patrick. My best to him and his family.

Patrick Swayze has always been one of my favorite actors. I sense a warmth and goodness in him but I don’t know if he knows the Lord in a personal way. My prayer is that he would be healed of this disease. Jesus still heals today as he did when he was on the earth. More importantly, I pray that Patrick and others, would have faith in Jesus as the Son of God and not just a man who lived two thousand years ago. There IS something on the other side – that’s what faith is all about. “Now faith is being sure of what we HOPE for and CERTAIN of what we do not see.” Hebrews 11:1 No one can convince anyone else of this, but rather it is God who draws people to him in a very real way. I pray Patrick will be open to this knowledge. Even if he doesn’t make it here on this earth he will go on to something so much better – what we were all designed for, a place where he will wipe away every tear and take all our diseases away.
Quotation from I Corinthians 15:50-57 I’ve found comfort in this!
“I declare to you, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed — in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying will come true: ‘Death has been swallowed up in victory.’ Where, O death, is your victory? Where O death is your sting? The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
It doesn’t get much better than that! I pray that Patrick and many others facing adversity will turn to Christ, and believe in the one who has the power to save! This is such GOOD NEWS I don’t understand why more people aren’t coming to this realization. After all, life is terminal anyway. None of us knows how much longer we have.
Thanks for listening!
Cindy
