Watch Clip from ‘Lord Save Us From Your Followers’

posted by dross | 11:44am Tuesday April 15, 2008

In the upcoming documentary, “Lord Save Us From Your Followers,” releasing June 13, 2008 (the book version was released in March), writer/producer/director Dan Merchant, a Christian, “explores the collision of faith and culture in America.” Specifically, he wants to learn why Christianity–or the Gospel of Love–is dividing the country.
In this touching clip from the movie, Merchant travels with Bridgetown Ministries in Tualatin, OR, where the Christian group goes out at night to help the homeless, by giving them clothes and washing their feet.

I was unsure of this book and documentary. I’ve probably picked the book up in my hands five times and each time set it back on the shelves. This clip, however, has really touched me and convinced me to give the whole book/documentary a try. Very compelling.

I cried, because there is so much to be done right here, where I sit…right there where you sit….BUT in the matchless name of JESUS with the guidance of the Comforter,Counselor ~~ Holy Spirit….you and I can do something….anything…one thing.
If we are Christians, we are Christ-like….therefore the question is not “What would Jesus do?”, the question is “What will you do?”
Everyday we come in contact with people…do something…forget YOU and do something for another.
