Summertime has become a time for me to catch up on TV series I haven't had time to watch during the rest of the year, or, in some instances, foreign TV series that I have never even heard of, or...
You will totally love The Wire. It's definitely more like Homicide since David Simon was the mastermind behind both shows. Season Four in particular is just heart-wrenching. If you haven't seen The Wire, it should be top of the TV on DVD list.

I am still waiting for someone to have sense enough to release Tales of the Gold Monkey. In the wake of Indiana Jones fever, this would be a great opportunity to release this fun series. I am also waiting for Adventures in Paradise. I was too young to stay up to watch it when it was originally broadcast, and have seen only a few episodes. But it is beautiful to see and the stories are good.

I want to see the epesodes from Judging Amy. They were awesome. why did that series not make it to DVD. I am a true fan of Tye Daley, the Judge and the family circles. Where are they, where have they gone?
It's was better than most of the stuff being published....

Check out Sports Night, created by Aaron Sorkin. It aired in 1998 - a total of 45 episodes and it is WONDERFUL! The script is excellent and the actors deliver the lines exquisitely! It is fast-paced and I never grow tired of it. Has some heavy hitting actors in it too...Peter Krause, Felicity Huffman to name a few.

One nitpick: It's Mark McKinney, not Kinney, in Slings & Arrows.
Thanks for the shout-out to that show. All three seasons are wonderful, but the first is the best - a brilliant examination of what the theater means.
And when, oh when, will Brimstone FINALLY come out on DVD? I've been waiting ever since FOX (a pox on FOX) canceled it! John Glover was The best. Devil. Ever. (Sorry, Reaper.)

I look forward to re-visiting the third season of "Lost" on DVD. It's a show that you never catch everything on the first (or second or third...) viewing. I don't know how the writers keep up with it all!
