I feel most alive when I am doing something good for somebody. About a dozen of us just finished clearing out the waterlogged, muddy and smelly furnishings, clothing, books and carpets from the house of a family who got hit by the floods in Indiana. I smelled bad, but I sure felt alive.

I’m most alive when God is working through me. When I take a step in one direction and I find out later that God had a reason for me taking that step that I never could have anticipated, I feel amazing alive. And when He answers a prayer for someone’s salvation or healing, I feel unbelievably alive (and good, too!).

I feel so alive now….knowing how much my Savior loves me and wants me for his own! I found out no one can love me unconditionaly like HE loves me! He doesn’t keep count of wrongs…I ask for forgiveness & HE picks me up, dusts me off and says I love you…here is the path I have for you, walk in it! Reading the BIBLE and having HIS HOLY SPIRIT witness to me about it is so amazing! BUT…we do have an AMAZING GOD! So alive since I have been baptized in JESUS’ name as the BIBLE says! I want all that GOD has for me!

I feel most alive when I become aware that God has used me in some way to do His will. For example, when I discover that some simple phrase or action that I said or did may have clearly touched the heart of someone who needed to hear or see exactly that! And when they share with me how whatever I may have said or done has affected them, I am in awe of God’s willingness to use me in a way to bring others closer to Him. This has happened many times during my years as a volunteer youth leader, as well as at my job as a domestic violence advocate. The amazing thing is that it often happens when I least expect it! That’s when I feel most alive because God truly reminds me in these situations WHY I am alive.

I feel alive everyday. I start my day each and every moring with the Lord. We have such a wonderful conversation while I am praying, and then we read His word and search verses together. It is amazing how God will direct you in your Bible Studies if you will just let Him. Be still and listen for the Lord. God Bless!

I feel most alive is when my two granddaughters and I are in church and in the spirit. My kids are 8&9 years old, they like to draw and sing in church. When we are in church and the music starts, and we all sing together, it feels your soul and it lifts you to the clouds. Thats when we feel free, free to worship ;and communicate with God and give thanks for all the things of this earth he has given us. When we come home we are so hapy all day long, and we ty to pass that along to others through the day, and through the week.

Alive? Being the most alive for me is experiencing the tremendous love God wants us to have for each other. It’s the kind of love that over looks the way your faith is displayed or in which “house” you attend, but celebrates the faith & love shared heart to heart by all huMans That Father God planted in each of us.

I feel most alive when I am being a blessing to others. It truly is more blessed to give than to receive. When you give of yourself, you receive something within yourself far more valuable than physical possesions. You receive your purpose.

I feel most alive when I feel God surround me. When I feel his power in a song or in an answer to a question. When I feel that I am doing His will and what He wants me to be doing. I feel alive even when it’s a small thing, like stopping to pick something up for someone.A few weeks ago I knew I was suposed to stop and get some wild flowers for my grandmother. They made a huge difference to her. She loves wild-flowers(I didn’t know)it only took my about 10 minutes after work to get them and she lives near me. I have been getting her fresh ones every week now. It’s amazing how a little thing can make such a big difference in someones life. I’m glad God knows.

I feel the most ALIVE, when I am serving others. Either it being a complete stranger to my family. I feel God moving in me as I help others. True fulfillment for me is when you see thankfulness or gratitude in others eyes that you have helped. When I serve it isn’t just satifactory for the ones that you serve but it does great things to your heart. Therefore, I feel the most ALIVE by using my God Given gift to serve others in His name. Thank you.

I feel the most ALIVE every time I see the birth of a baby. I have been a labor and delivery nurse for over 28 years and it never ceases to amaze me at the actual time of birth and that first cry of life begins. The awe I feel is overwhelming it is like I am directly connected to God and sometimes (most times) I say Thank you out loud to God for letting me be a part of that birth experience and for the safety of the mother and infant. There are times when I have to comfort and support the mother whose infant is stillborn and that is also a time when I feel very much a vessel of the Lord. I am able to minister to them, pray with them and treat them with all the love and respect they need at that time when birth is silent. There are no cries except from the mother and father. My faith in God allows me to serve and to love. God continues to bless me daily.

I feel most alive when I am in the presence of the Holy Spirit, especially during praise and worship in church. When each phrase of a song is sung unto God Almighty I feel my physical body disappears and my spiritual body rises above. For me God is RIGHT THERE…inches away and I come alive. Every stress, every concern and even my self conciousness falls away and who I am in spirit becomes present. It isn’t always easy to get to that place that I speak of because of my human nature but when I can put it all together…it is amazing.
Praise the Lord.

I feel most alive when I am in the presence of the almighty God. When God pours out His spirit during praise and worship, my body’s physical – ness evaporates and the Holiness of Jehovah saturates my flesh and it feels as though something has taken over the control that my flesh basks in. This “force” is so awesome that it lifts me out of a natural realm and transports me into the supernatural place of awe -ness. I can’t explain it except to say that when I am at praise and worship or a youth conference or in a setting where other believers are praising God I am no longer myself and I am transported to that “place” where I am so alive and all is well.Every part of my being is affected from head to toe. My mouth and hands work together with my heart to give God the Praise. I can’t seem to be aware of anything sourrounding me even the people sitting next to me or under the same roof. I am not trans like, however I am in a saturation of peace, joy, love, completeness, wholeness, alive – ness (?)as if God was passing by and His eye was fixed on me.I think this must be the Glory of God manifested. Praises!!!

When you say ALIVE do you mean light hearted, on top the world, blessed
then I would say waking up in the morning to birds chirping starting my day with a joyful noise or walking in the sun on a hot day and just casually saying “Lord couldn’t you just move that cloud to shield me from the sun a little” and it actually happens making me feel special, while keeping His promise to just ‘ask and it shall be given….’ Also when He solves a situation or reveal a passage of scripture in a funny way showing that He has a sense of humor.
Or by ALIVE you mean greatful for life – when I was sick one night to the point where I thought I was never see daylight the next day and He told me He was in control letting me know that it was not my time to take my eternal rest or a bus that I was on being robbed at gunpoint, where the persons sitting before me and one beside me got robbed but not me or the persons behind they didn’t even look at me. The whole time it felt like watching a movie with a sweet peace or calm in my spirit. The Lord is my PEACE, my REFUGE, my HEALER, my EVERYTHING. BLESS…..

No fighting, no bills, no work issues, just us and some great tunes. It makes me feel young and alive! Toby’s music has always been part of our song selections and has always been very inspirational. For me, the first big breath I take in the morning is when I feel most alive. It is aconscious act I do every morning to start off thanking God for giving me another day. At 16, I was diagnosed with Hodgkins disease. I went through radiation and chemotherapy. Although it killed the cancer, it also did damage to the rest of my body. There was scar tissue on my lungs as a result. Then in 1996, I developed pneumonia that went into Adult Respitory Distress Syndrome and then had a pulmonary embolism to top it off. I was not expected to live. Obviously I pulled through since I’m writing this comment. I am permanently disabled with permanent lung damage that leaves me with only 48% oxygen diffusion. Although it is often difficult to breathe, each breath I take reminds me that I am alive and the purpose God has for my life is not over. I am a walking miracle! In my weakness God is strong! God is and will be glorified through my life! To God be the Glory!

There are different situations for the most ‘Alive’ I feel. The best I would say is when the love of my life, my one-day husband and my children are with me and we are enjoying the bounty of God’s gifts in nature, when we can teach them all that God has given us and what we are to do to follow in his steps. When we are doing this as a family, we can truly feel the presence of God, and this is when I feel most truly alive.

In the mornings when my 9 month old daughter is smiling at me from her crib, as if saying “good morning mom”. When my 3 year old daughter runs up to me when I get home and says “mommy I love you, I missed you” and hugs my legs. When I felt most alive is the day I got saved. I felt as though I could breathe again. A song has played in my heart ever since.

What Makes Me Feel Alive?
I would have to say that, I feel more alive when I am hanging out with my friends and family but more so when I am having a hard time, like when I was forced to move out and didn’t have a place to stay and had nothing. I think everyone who has had to experience that wouldn’t agree with me but I think it’s how you look at things and its all your attitude and a big part of it would have to be my faith in the lord who got me through. A few days after I was living at a shelter for a couple days, someone asked me if I would be interested in making 9.00/hr. planting flowers Downtown Des Moines just for one day and I made 100.00 . Sometimes we think we know all the answers and try to understand and figure out the problems and try to be God. It just doesn’t work out that way.
When I had nothing, no clothes, no shelter for a few days, no food, or money, that was the happiest time of my life and I came closer to the lord. That was the time I felt most ALIVE!
