George Carlin Rants on Religion

posted by lmarcus | 12:11pm Monday June 23, 2008

George Carlin, who died yesterday at the age of 71, was never one to shy away from controversial topics. One of his favorite targets was religion, as evidenced in this clip. Even though I didn’t always agree with what he had to say, I couldn’t deny his ability to make me laugh. Enjoy this clip–but please be aware that it contains a lot of his trademark profanity and probably shouldn’t be watched by kids.

When I hear this I feel very sad. This man (who always made me laugh)is mocking God and has religion all wrong. All you have to do is believe in Jesus Christ and he died for your sins, you will live in eternity forever, he give us a CHOICE. we can believe and live in eternity with God. If George Carlin didn’t change his view of God before he died he will live eternity in hell. We all have the choice.
Thank you

I don’t think we can judge where George Carlin will spend eternity. I’ll leave that one up to God. Only He knows his heart.

Heh, awesome rant… He just summed up my personal feelings on a divine being in a ten minute funny as something very funny monologue. I advise people here to read Richard Dawkins’ “The God Delusion” and ditch their fire and brimstone/ gay bashing/ whatever. Santa Claus FTW!
