Alec Baldwin, Secretly a Jew?

posted by lmarcus | 11:00am Wednesday July 2, 2008

Alec Baldwin is hilarious on ’30 Rock,’ and it turns out he’s pretty funny in real life too. In this video, Catholic-raised Alec tells The Jewish Channel (while at a party for Jewish restaurant/institution Barney Greengrass) that he’s the non-Jewish member of the Greengrass family. It turns out he can also drop some pretty decent Yiddish. Hear his accent, and his story about what happened when he dated a Jewish chick, in this video.

This is one of the poorest pieces of ‘journalism’ I have seen in a while. & what a ridiculous caption. The focal point should be Greengrass, not Baldwin.

Dorothy, you clearly do not have a tongue–or a cheek. Whichever it is– I’m not certain, but it seems to me that the headline might have been intended to be taken as humorous. It is a light-hearted feature, not serious journalism.

This is entertainment and humor and was very entertaining. The tagline made me curious enough to watch it. Cool. A little slice of life about a cool family and their friends! Bravo
