True, the wedding had been planned for this summer. But this week a London tabloid reported that actor/comedian/rabble-rouser Sacha Baron Cohen and “Wedding Crashers” actress Isla Fisher are postponing their nuptials until Fisher has had a chance to learn more about the Jewish faith:

it sounds kind of silly to me –just because she did not convert to the jewish faith he is putting off the marriage? and whocares what the in-laws think –she is not marrying them–i would run away, very fast from this one—my husband and both have different views on God and salvation-but it never shadows over us-everyone has their own way of praying –nobody should tell you how to worship

It is because of alot of faith believing jewish people will not marry unless their spouses convert to the jewish faith.

I do not like the anti-semitic undertones of this story or the comments made upon it. If there love is strong it doesn’t matter what their background is – I am sure she has her own set of culteral pressures.
