'The Cleaner': Extreme Intervention for the Soul

Monday July 21, 2008

Categories: Television

One of the new summer series on TV is "The Cleaner" on A & E. If you like "The Closer" or "Saving Grace," you will like this series, which premiered last week, about a recovering addict, WIlliam Banks (Benjamin Bratt). Based on a true story, Banks is a man who turns to unorthodox means-- as well as to God-- to give others the same second chance he has been given..

Here's a behind-the-scenes clip to get you caught up before Tuesday's episode.

I couldn't agree more. The pilot was enough to pique my interest, and it didn't force the God conversation, but it was enough to be real and be really good.

I think the Church should give this one a chance. No, it's not TBN-rated-G material. It's better. This is what people around you everywhere see... and if they got this kind of reality about Jesus, maybe they would join the march as well. IJS.
