Gary Oldham may be my favorite supporting actor of any comic book movie franchise.as Jim Gordon in the "Batman" movies. He has also enjoyed a long career playing a variety of interesting roles including the title role in "Bram Stoker's Dracula" and Sirius Black in the "Harry Potter" series.
He is also the answer to this week's trivia question- as some Idol Chatter readers quickly pointed out! The question was: " What star of "The Dark Knight" has played both a minster and Satan?" Oldham played Reverend DImmesdale to Demi Moore's Hester Prynne in "The Scarlet Letter" and played Satan in a project I have never heard of called "Beat the Devil."

The g.o in my name "gokarm" is telling, no? Yes, I am a HUGE Gary Oldman fan since high school (I'm 25). His latest success is thrilling for me. Finally, people know who I mean when i say his name!
He was mesmerizing, riviting, romantic. He should play more romantic roles as he was so very good at it when he courted Mina in DRACULA. I had seen him in other movies such as JESUS -- he was okay. But, when I recently bought the DVD at Walmart and watched it, I found myself wanting to watch it over and over just to see Gary Oldham and his chemistry playing the role of a romantic would-be lover. He was fantastic. Probably the best I have seen.
The first comment I made was regarding the movie DRACULA in case you did not realize that. Gary Oldham is GOOD at his chemistry with a woman and I would hope that he would get at least ONE more role where he is in love with a woman. He is very good at it and compared to the other actors out there who have been known for their roles as lovers or romantic guys, Gary Oldham should be given a second look. The man is GOOD and I recommend you buy this DVD and watch it. Sure hope he has another role as a man in love!!!!!!!!!!
