Colbert's TV Special Is an Early Christmas Gift

Comedy Central's Stephen Colbert is turning his wry wit toward Christmas. His comedy special, "A Colbert Christmas" airs this Sunday at 10 p.m. and it will skewer the festivities of the season before the season's really begun.

As Colbert points out in his wickedly funny way, all the cheesy Christmas specials really do look alike after awhile. Colbert's special embraces every Christmas cliché there is, from the overdone, fake yuletide sets to the generic rehashing of the same Christmas tunes . All this makes me feel (almost) jolly with pre-Christmas glee.
