What is the point to this clip, I believe it reflects back on a bad time in our history, the german war.

A bad time in WHOSE history?!!! The fact is there were propaganda films made, and they served to keep the ‘rumors’ down. If you didn’t see the entire film then this particular trailer makes little sense.

Last night (November 22) I viewed “The Boy in the Striped Pajamas” at a local theatre. VERY well portrayed but somewhat disturbing. I lived through that period and I was following the dialogue all the way. The acting was great…..but I’ll never forget__the devistation the war produced. Hopefully this will never happen again.

I don’t believe that Flukie has been well educated enough to realize that what happened in Germany is still happening all over the world, exp. in Africa, Afganistan, etc. I agree with Merlee that despite whether one is Jewish or not, the Nazis not only killed 6 million Jews, but 6 million other people as well. Anyone who did not believe (including some Germans) that these propaganda films were real. According to the Torah, we were supposed to be as numerous as the stars. 17,000,000 Jews in the entire world doesn’t quite make it. Take it from one who knows many families and people who were in concentration camps, saw their loved ones murdered and had to bury their heaps of bones. Yet, many stil believe in G-d as they believe there was a reason, not specifically known, why this happenened. So, if you don’t like reality, I suggest you stick to sitcoms and live in a vacuum.
