'Pushing Daisies' Cancelled - Along With Two Other ABC Shows

I am a huge fan of this show. I love the quirky story lines, the acting and direction, and the stage and costume choices. I think ABC did itself a Great DISservice by choosing not to rerun the first season before starting the second season. The strike-driven hiatus put the story out of mind for too long for the show to make sense to anyone who had not watched last year. This is but one of innumerable great losses to TV. Sad sad sad

And I will miss Eli Stone too. I am afraid the writers got skittish and the show seemed to have "jumped the shark" when the law firm went all soft and gooshy for social causes. The tension between the lawyers and the agenda of the united firm was good. I do not like this turn, so maybe it is for the best. There is a real art to keeping the tension but not exhausting the basic character profiles.

Keeping viewers is simply a function of longer program segments (which cable can do) and better use of commercial time. I think this economy may see some marked improvements in the commercials (lots of good people hunting for work has to help). Also allowing a show to gain its legs will help it make its mark and find its audience. Stories like these rely less on the story arch and more on the changing dynamics of the characters. Producers who can communicate this to the writers are the ones to succeed. The actors and directors will benefit from that trust.

I am so sad to see this show going. My children and I all love it! More of ABC's gross mismanagement!

My family and I are angry, I am so sick of mindless, reality shows. Pushing Daisies is an entertaining television show, with great humor. WHY!!!!!!! Television will never be the same. PUSHING DAISIES producers, writers and actors, I actually thought,finally great television. I'm done I think I will take up reading......

Im a British fan of Pushing Daisies I liked this show.

Anna Friel and Kristen Chenoweth were brilliant in this and its was good to see Ellen Greene back on the scene.

Being a costume and Theatre designer myself I am appalled to see this very original, creative and enjoyable series die a very tragic death.

Your right that we do things differently over here because we really like different and challenging television and Pushing Daisies has actually done very well over here, along with the likes of Robin Hood, Merlin, Life on Mars, Ashes to Ashes, Doctor Who and Torchwood.

ABC I feel have not been very supportive of this series from day one and have not marketed or advertised it at all in the right way.

In fact if you look at the current ABC line up at the moment there is only one other show that is a creative and interesting standout and thats samantha who, as ugly betty seems to be getting more and more far fetched and frustrating by the minute.

Pushing Daisies deserved far more credit than it was given and I for one will be sad to see it go.

All we can hope for is that they send it off well and rap up loose ends.It would be good if they were allowed to do a special but I cannot see that happening either. At least they have a chance to do the best they can to end it well, which cannot be said for some that they choose to axe immediately.

I bet you if they dont, that there will be an online petition much like serenity where hardcore fans unite to make them create a proper ending and look how that turned out. Joss Wheadon and co made a film and it sold by the shedloads.

Oh well just another corporate team making stupid decisions. I reckon they must not watch these shows they cancel but just go that one, that one, oh and that one.

I was a loyal fan and follower of this magical show that took its viewers from the world of reality from the very beginnig. And now that seems to be what everyone wants. I'm not angry so much as I am sad to see one of my favorite shows leave for good. All this nonsense about striking is causing great shows to be canceled and yet 'desperate housewives', 'grey's anatomy' and 'private practice' all made it. But shows that want to give their viewers something special get the ax. It's times like this that I wished I never turned on the tv to watch shows to begin with. I hate having to fall in love with a show and its characters only to deal with its cancelation only a few seasons in. Somethings I can merely brush off, but in the case of 'Pushing Daisies' it's going to be a long while until I feel as though the tv I watch is safe.

This is an outrage. Will never watch anything on ABC again. Pushing Daisies has been my favorite show for the past two seasons now. Network executives are so short-sighted.

No reason to watch ABC anymore. It was the most brilliant, charming, witty and romantic show until now and they should be shamed for canceling it. What the hell are people there thinking?

somebody should do something!!!! Pushing Daisies should not be canceled. It is like the only thing I ever watch, and it will kill me if there is some dumb cliff-hanger ending

I've really gotten into "Eli Stone" and of course anything that involves God or has some redeeming value is canceled. They are also canceling "My Own Worst Enemy" not of redeeming value but at least more entertaining than some of the shows they are keeping. I'm sick of investing my time in these shows. The networks are as bad as the politicians in Washington. The networks have no idea what the people really want. They only care about themselves and will shove whatever they can down our throats because not enough people in this country will stand up against them. Tell them we are turning them off until they get it right. Their are too many people of this country who are too apathetic about everything. This has gotten into the mess we are in now and I'm not just talking about canceled tv shows.

I only watched ABC for Daisies/Dirty Sexy Money and Private Practive! It was part of my 2 way a week TV lineup. I now only have one night of TV to watch and that is Thursdays. Aww I am sad and I am going to miss Ned, Chuck, Itty Bitty and Emerson. It was a real fresh show with a great storyline. It kept you interested all the way through. It is a sad sad shame. Now all there is left really to watch is friggin reality tv. Have we not all had enough of prying into other peoples lives and voting people off? Can we just sit down and watch a good show with our families for once anymore!!! Too bad, I will miss the show:(

I used to have enormous respect for the US tv series and for the taste of Americans in tv and cinema. I don't anymore. I don't now who is to blame for that disappointing change. Pushing Daisies is absolutely brilliant. thank God they're not cancelling LOST, too!
