One day four years ago Jonas Elrod woke up with the inexplicable ability to see and hear ghosts, angels, demons, and auras. The documentary “Wake Up” follows his journey across the country and overseas for the next three years to find out why. From directors Jonas Elrod and Chloe Crespi, the film will premiere at the 2009 SXSW film festival on March 15th.
In this exclusive clip, Elrod talks to his psychiatrist about his new ability to see ghosts.

I saw Wakeup at SXSW and was blown away. 5 stars for sure! You find yourself engrossed with the demons and angels that Jonas says he’s seeing … he tries over and over to explain them to numerous priests, pastors, faith healers, mystics, buddhist monks, and so on … and for all of their “enlightenment” they still can’t understand what he’s experiencing.
I was not alone in my opinion while leaving the theater. Whoa! Amazing! I heard lots of folks comments on the emotional impact this film had on them!
This is a MUST SEE!

We recently had the opportunity to interview Jonas Elrod and his Wake Up co-director Chloe Crespi.
Funny thing is that Jonas was himself very skeptical of what he was going through and set out to determine if he was losing his mind or if something more significant was happening.
Before you dismiss his experiences please check out the film. It’s surprisingly honest and doesn’t try to give simplistic answers.
Kudos to Jonas & Chloe for an amazing job tackling a challenging project.
You can check out our interview with the filmmakers here:

Thanks.

I went to The Az screening and I took pictures. I think what he sees came out in my photos. His story brought me to tears and validates my own experiences! My heart is full of gratitude.
