I both accept and ignore the insatiable need of some media to scrutinize and criticize celebs like Miley in hopes that they will fall, but I really don’t understand when one celebrity trashes another. No I am not talking about Paris and former BFF Nicole Ritchie or even Lindsay Lohan and her ex, Sam Ronson. I am referring to Oscar winner, musician and comedian Jamie Foxx who bashed Miley Cyrus on his radio show last weekend, calling her the “b” word and suggesting she should “do some heroin.” He also suggested she make a sex tape and consider becoming a lesbian like Lohan.
Foxx has since backtracked on those comments by apologizing to Cyrus on “The Tonight Show” Tuesday and saying he didn’t really mean “any of it” but was just doing his job as a “black Howard Stern.” Foxx even shamelessly brought his own family into his apology pointing out that he has a teenage daughter so he “understands.”
But his lame apology has left me confused. What does he understand? That his apologize doesn’t sound sincere? That if he was Don Imus he would probably be fired by now? That as a father he wouldn’t want anyone to speak about his daughter like that and should have had enough sense to not attack a minor, even if she is a celebrity? Or maybe he just understands that the teen queen’s popularity will probably long outlast his own.

i agree with you i thought that was uncalled for to say the least those comments would’t make him any popular thats for sure i’m sure her father did’t like it either! who the hell does he think he is looks like he embarresed his own daughter too.

I also agree. Sometimes celebrities forget they are human beings first and should not get caught up in media driven dramas about other celebrities. I do not think his apologies are sincere. The statements should not have been made in the first place and this was an abuse of his ability to use the media for something positive. The same standards should be applied to anyone in the media who behaves like Imus. Jaime Foxx needs to remember where he came from and be a voice of intelligent and dignified discourse he is an embarrasment to others in the entertainment industry.

OMGoodness! I am shocked that JF would even go there. He is a grown man and a FATHER. If someone would say that about his daughter he would a lonatic. Let’s think about this for a minute..how encouraging is he as a parent to this young person? What happen to it takes a community to raise a child. Not just one person. “One/any child” is every bodies child.I have been a fan of JF for a long time and was looking forward to his upcoming new movie release”Soloist” but I think I’ll go see Hanna Montana instead.

He deserves an Oscar for the acting job he did on that so called apology. He blamed it on the fact that he is a comedian. He apologized as a comedian, not a person. He also lied. He said that the audio was only part of it. The audio was all of it. He turned the whole apology into a joke. Everyone should reject it because it was insincere dribble.

this makes no sense and the comments are just ridiculous

Well, The Soloist will be selling a few less tickets in this household. How completely thoughtless and unnecessary. Sad.

This is so stupid. Please find something to do with your spare time other than blog about something this ridiculous. Who cares???? The girl doesn’t care about you, so why do you care about her. Also think about it, what young teenage female star hasn’t done at least one of those things by the time they turn 24??? You people are ridiculous

So Miley Cyrus is finally breaking free from all the kiddie stuff. It is being reported that she is spending lots of her time in the studio with the lead singer and songwriter of the band MEAN VENUS–who goes only by the initial ‘J’. We’re told she is striving to “heavy up” her sound and is embarking in a new hard rock direction. Should be interesting!

There is no excuse for his actions. Being his jo0b is not an excuse. He should still have some morals. Shame on him!

I have no opinion about this really. I only hope that the reports aren’t true & that Miley Cyrus isn’t going to wind up in rehab for heroin or cocaine use & / or have a breakdown & / or hold up a mini – mart & / or wind up pregnant out of wedlock or any of the other fates that have befallen other tween & teen pop stars.

We all need to pray for each other and the real issue is both of these souls need to be saved and filled with the HOLY SPIRIT and the both should be spending their time honoring GOD. It is only by the grace and tender mercies of GOD that they are alive. This is what Satan’s loves and this is what he lives to see. Two of GOD’s children in sin and disrespectiing Jesus the son of GOD – who died for our sins. People are striving in this country, our children are be molested and killed, the elders are afraid to live in their homes and her we sit with this information. Is this really important? It just shows that sin is getting deeper and deeper in every corner of this old world. The word of God says, “Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.” Ephesians 4:29 PRAYER WILL CHANGE THE MINDS OF MEN – START PRAYING NOW!!!

I was so shocked to hear what Jamie Foxx said about Miley, he needs to CHECK himself, and then he needs to apologize sincerely. I usually watch his show every afternoon, but, because of this blanted attack will no longer be watching him. He is disgusting!

I have been a HUGE fan of Jamie Foxx forever…but that’s about to change! How could he think that what he said was a joke??? HE is the joke. And HE is ridiculously sure that he’ll still be on top after all this. He’s supposed to be an adult — what is UP with these celebrities hatin’ on each other! Be a role model JF, not another celebrity with mud for brains.
