Message: Hello, I was touched by your story because I work at a homeless sheltor in a small town of San Luis Obispo. I went to LA when I was 21 and found it so sad that the homeless were everywhere amonst the rich, and they could care less because they were not seen. Many people choose to buy things instead of people. Many LA people felt that homelessness was from mental illness or lazyness. Let me tell you everyone can be like that with out support of family ,friends, and a good healthy community. I was a starving student in LA and would end up giving my cash away that was my lunch money because I saw them that they needed kindness I shortly learned though the sadness made them make bad choices with money so I carried gift cards to the Sub-way or McDonalds. The homeless would see something in me because I would be in groups of people and they would only ask me for the help. Sometimes god sends people to people who can help. I have seen homeless men or sad people fall into the corruption of drinking and drugs, and trying many programs that were not successful . I prayed and god gave me words to reach them when they were ready to hear. He works in mysterious ways. Our sheltor in San Luis Obispo is special because they never give up on people and the small town donates food and has enough money to keep the doors open so anyone can get help. We have boundaries and require them to take anger management classes and AA and other things if they are difficult in the environment. Eventually if you pray hard enough god will help them even if it is for short periods of time. He knows that they can help others too. I have lost many friends to drinking and they fought hard to survive. In all of these situations all I could do was to cheer for them in the difficult days and praise them in the good. Angels are everywhere and we can be them too. I was having a bad day once my car broke down, my job was stressfull a lot of drama that day, and my child was unhappy with me working a lot. I drove my car into Jiffy Lube and the man said they were closing. I was very sad near tears and he said ,” hey, you worked at the homeless sheltor.” I wanted to hide because I did not want to see anymore residents from there because it was a difficult day. He saw my sad face and said ,” hey, I have room for one more”. I felt a ton of bricks off of me. He told me I have been doing good since I left the Prado Sheltor. He had a family and a great job. I was happy for him, but not overly so because of the difficult day. He said your smiling face at the sheltor got me through difficult times and your cheering personality. I felt blessed to have the support I gave returned back to me. Life is funny it goes up and down and when you build bridges it helps people to go back and forth, and that is what a healthy community should be like. I was racing down this mountain enjoying my ride and I saw a lady walking up this grade is was 7 % steep. I rode up long and hard and wanted to go really fast down to enjoy the full effect of going 45 miles an hour. As I started going down I thought ;wow, this lady looks lost and her feet looked tired by her shoes being worn holes in the toes and thin soles not at all for walking and what was she doing all alone. I had to stop my down hill ride to go back and check on her. She was African American dark complected and wearing dark clothing. The grade was a very dangerious place. When I went up to her she seemed startled ,so I asked her if she was ok and if she was lost. She was and she was thirsty. I gave her my water bottle and asked her how I could help. She said she needed to find a homeless sheltor. I told her she was 15 miles away. I told her to please sit and wait for me to go home to get my car and take her to the program. She said, ” Are you an Angel ?and I said ,” I was going to ask you that same question” because she made me feel warm all over and I wanted to care for her. I started down the grade worried about her safety,so I went extra fast as it was dark now and I knew she would be cold. I only had a small windbreaker with me that I gave her to try to keep her warm. As I went through a small town I saw a highway patrol. I waved him down and explained how worried I was for this woman up on the grade alone. He said,” Don’t worrie I will have her in 2 minutes and take her to the Echo sheltor in Atascadero”. My breath suddenly came gushing out I guess I was so worried I was not breathing right. Part of me felt like I could not leave this up to someone else what if he did not find her or if he just did not go to her. I prayed to God that he did care for her as I would and 10 seconds later the officer drove by flashing his lights and I saw her waving happily at me. I still say she was my Angel checking to make sure I would treat someone as I needed to be treated. That is how we all should try to remember how to act like God id testing us in someone else. A movie that touched me was 7 LBs with Will Smill and Pay it Forward this are what our society should live by.

‘The True Origin of Easter’.Celebrating easter is a pagon, and most people don’t even know what they are really celebrating.I have done a little research about this, being a christian and all, wanting to find the true meaning behind easter and have found this interesting review. Please take a look at this website and you will find how easter really originated.Although it is a fun time of year, for kids especially,I think that we have lost our way in the TRUE meaning of easter and what it should really be about. It is never mentioned in the Bible, except one time, and was not meaning ‘easter’ as in searching for eggs and candy and so on.Please take a look at this true review of what easter is really about, which includes scriptures from the bible and very fascinating truths about what this holiday is all about. http://www.thercg.org/books/ttooe.html?s_kwcid=easter%20history|2777574151&gclid=CJmBp-u45ZkCFYJM5QodTx6oSA Thanks!!
