‘I Kissed a Vampire’: Vampire Stories for the Rest of Us

The odds of me looking forward to the latest vampire book/movie/ TV show would be handicapped as about 100-1 at best, so imagine my surprise when I discovered that there actually is one vampire story I might fall in love with, the original iTunes series ” I Kissed a Vampire.” It showcases “High School Musical” alumni Lucas Grabeel and Drew Seeley and features teen angst mixed with a healthy dose of song and dance. Sure, it was ony a matter of time before someone tried to cash in on the whole “Twilight” hype by creating a musical mockumentary that spoofs all things teen vampire related, but this series looks to not only feature plenty of cheese but also a little edge – like a “Glee” for the vampire world.In “I Kissed a Vampire,” standard vampire fare abounds – love triangles, a sweet and innocent girl-next-door, and, well, blood, but all with a lighthearted twist. But what I like best is that the series also features some impressive yet cheeky rock songs like “Go for the Throat” mixed with catchy pop tunes like “Irresistable.”So if you like vampire-themed stories, you’ll find plenty to love about this show. And if you don’t like vampire-themed stories, I bet you’ll still find something in this show to smile about, at the very least. And if the trailer below doesn’t quench your thirst for this bloody new show, well, in another smart marketing movie, “I Kissed a Vampire” has a free featurette you can download on iTunes whie waiting for the October 13th series premiere.

Unbelieveable featurette and preview. I am not into pseudo-evil things like vampires, and such, but this movie is truly sweet and
yet makes you think. The dance stuff is hot & I want the sountrack. We are planning our Senior Prom and may do it all around this!!!!!!!!!!Talk about right on time! Peace & Happiness. Grace
