Michael Lohan Says God Has Taken Lindsay’s Career Away

posted by dross | 1:50pm Friday November 6, 2009

In case you haven’t heard the news, Michael Lohan, dad of Lindsay and BFF of Stephen Baldwin, has been releasing tapped phone conversations he’s had with his daughter and estranged ex-wife Dina, saying they prove the star’s on drugs and needs rebab.
From Page Six of the New York Post:

…Michael told The Post’s Rita Delfiner, “That’s a lie. I guess Lindsay is on more drugs than I thought to say something like that. Now I’m going to release more recordings that prove everything she is saying is nothing more than a bunch of lies.

“No wonder why God is taking her entire career away from her,” Michael continued. “Because she’s forsaken everything He’s given her and she’s done nothing but misuse all the gifts she’s given.”

But yesterday Linday fought back on her Twitter account:
“The more you tweet about my ex father’s antics, the more he will sell! Please don’t spread his cruelty, just ignore it!”
“Better to not even mention his name, he’s a deadbeat dad. He’s disgusting to do this. He doesn’t deserve attention. He needs help.”
“My fathers actions yesterday, because it really hurts my mom for me and my siblings. I’d feel the same if I were a mother.”
“She [Dina Lohan] blames herself for staying w/him for so long, I’d beg her not to leave b/c he always threatened to kill her if she did…
“…after disappearing, then coming home after being gone for several days while cheating on my mother&abusing substances.”
“Its so sad that I even have to share this w/everyone, but I haven’t had a real relationship w/Michael Sr. In years. That is the truth. Xox”
But she ends her Twitter rant on a positive note:
“I just hope I can show others how to be strong through times & to be able to stand up for yourself and loved ones no matter what! :) *”
Be strong Linds!
