kymera-magic-wand.jpgMuggles all over the world can now get a taste of the wizard life by bringing home a Kymera Magic Wand and “perform magic for real” without breaking any wizarding laws.

Mail Online reports that two Brits, Chris Barnardo and Richard Blakesley, have invented a special remote inspired by the wands in Harry Potter. The wand remote is designed to control “televisions, hi-fis, DVD players, laptops and even remote-controlled light switches and curtains” through 13 designated hand gestures waved at a certain distance. To give the 14-inch wand an element of Hogwarts fantasy, it’s delivered in a silk brocade-lined box covered with faux dragonhide and the instruction manual is printed to look like a large piece of parchment paper.

Just in time for the holiday season, you can purchase the Kymera Wand (AAA batteries included) for $49.95 British pounds, or roughly $82.17 USD (not including overseas taxes and shipping/handling) and start practicing charms and spells on your TV.
