Elizabeth Hughes, 8, made her national anthem debut for the Tampa Bay Lightning’s, affiliate (AHL Norfolk Admirals) during a home game against the Connecticut Whale (Rangers) last Friday night. How it started was amazing. Hughes has a voice of an angel, but after she sang the two words “was proof” the battery in her microphone ceased. The next part inspired me and thousands of others out there in social media land. With a nation that is so politically and religiously divided, you might feel hopeful-even encouraged about the human race about 1:30 into the clip:
