In 1936, Ellen and Walker Robinette got married.  She was 17 and he was 20.

The couple then went on a honeymoon to San Francisco and San Jose that cost under $35.  While honeymoons now cost more, the couple’s love have also increased.  Ellen and Walker are still married over 70 years later, and they recently celebrated their anniversary by renewing marriage vows in front of a group of family and friends.

Although Ellen now lives in a nursing home in Citrus Heights, California, Walker visits her every day.  His advice for a long and happy marriage? “Be sure they love each other,” he said. “The rest of it will take care of itself.” (News10.net)
