Breast Cancer Awareness: Finding Inspiration in the Fight

posted by Jennifer E. Jones

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I don’t know anyone who hasn’t been affected by this terrible disease in some way. The mother of my best childhood friend died from it many years ago, and I’m still haunted by the pain in her voice when she told me the news. I join many people who are raising awareness and hoping for a cure.

Here at Beliefnet we want to provide inspiration and hope for all those struggling through their battle with breast cancer. Here are a few of our latest features:

Inspirational Songs for Fighting Breast Cancer
These five songs give hope and courage to anyone dealing with cancer from caregivers to the newly diagnosed and survivors.

Five Celebrity Singers who Fought Breast Cancer
These singer-songwriters are also breast cancer survivors. Watch them perform and read about their inspiring journeys.

Whether you are a survivor, a warrior or a caregiver, these quotes will inspire you to continue fighting the good fight.

We have more features on our special Breast Cancer Awareness page.

You might read “WORLD WITHOUT CANCER” and read where we don’t need to have cancer or fight the stinking disease! There IS a CURE and that is what the doctors, medicine world need to tell you. This research stuff is useless and where does the money go in the first place..is what I want to know. You all run and have pink hats and stuff and gather money like it is water and yet..NO CURE!! Hummm They don’t want you to be cured and that is that. Try curing your self no chemo or radiation or none of that crap..God Bless You.
