The Higher Health (Part 2)
In the first post we discussed the possibility that higher health was possible, reaching beyond our current conception of wellness.  Such an advance depends on two things. The first, which isn't new, is to comply with the current prevention measures that too many people ignore.  The words "diet, e

The Higher Health - A New Map for Prevention
Wellness seems to have reached a plateau in America and other wealthy industrialized countries. The information about how to prevent many kinds of lifestyle disorders, including heart disease and type 2 diabetes, has been widely distributed. Longevity steadily increases. One American Dream Fades - Will Another Be Born?
The United States remains the country that foreigners criticize the most and want to move to the most. Pursuing the American dream remains a potent motivator for every wave of immigration. Racism. No doubt about it. And it sickens me.
There is still nothing that can fan the flames of fear in the hearts of a significant demographic of Americans, as evidenced by how our political “pundits” like Limbaugh et.al. managed so easily to take the Wright controversy and make sane people believe that Barack Obama is a closet “Black Power” warrior.
As far as most Americans have come on race, it only takes a vocal minority to set us back 50 years.

Have you heard the old saying that birds of the same feather fly together. If it is true among birds, it is equally true among humans. Racism comes in different shades: skin color, racial origin, cultural difference, language diversity, etc. No religion has been able to root out racism among its followers. Actually religion divides its followers rather than unites them. Racism could only be minimised but it can never totally erased. The only religion that can make an effort to minimize racism is Buddhism (I am not a Buddhist)
