Thank you. Regarding “my yoke is light:”
I just wanted to note that effort in spiritual practice is a puzzler for sure. It seems no spiritual master ever acheived her wisdom by watching television. However, I’ve read some enlightened persons who claim their enlightenment has little or nothing to do with previous effort or practice. Always already realized, they say. Like climbing a ladder that goes nowhere in the end: you realize you already had nowhere when you were back on the ground.
“My yoke is light.” There is ease in the Truth. It’s a place of rest and homecoming. But as Jesus said in the Gospel of Thomas, “The Kingdom of Heaven is spread over the earth, and you cannot see it.” The Kingdom of Heaven is already here. We cannot get there in the next moment. The next moment is already too late. Our appointment with the infinite is here and now.
Speaking of which, I have a bone to pick with some spiritual practices. The ones that go something like this:
A) We think there’s something horribly wrong with you. You already suspect this, and you happen to be right.
B) Don’t worry. Just follow our patented 7-step path, and we’ll get you out of here to enlightenment and more.
It’s a little like stealing your friend’s wallet, then searching tirelessly and selflessly to help her find it. Is it not?

Given that the self-proclaimed ultimate goal of hypnotic attraction is the creation of an self-exaggerated, ostentatious and inflated society, adding the New Age or New Thought Revolution arguably makes the whole process a three-stage circus:
First the Empowerment of New Age / New Thought Insurgence, total subjection of the working class, and then hypnotic ownership; better known as the principles of authoritarianism.
New Age or New Thought:
A system of doctrine and practice oringinating in the 19th century and stressing the power of thought to control physical and mental events. [Origin: 1885–90]

Has duality come into being because we believe that thinking about the opposite of violence, the opposite of envy, jealousy, contempt, will help us to get rid of these things? Do we use the opposite as a means of avoiding what we don’t know how to deal with? Do we use the opposite as a lever to get rid of what is? Is it an escape from what is actual?

Jesus is not only a great teacher but also God. His mission was to set people free from sin, and guilt and shame. He did that by dying on the cross for us.when he says my yoke is easy and my burden is light he is offering us rest .He is inviting us to put our faith in him and give him our burdens and pain and he will give us his peace and rest.YOKE is a heavy cross bar which was over the shoulders of two oxen while they worked in the fields. The farmes used one adult and one young oxen to plow the land. The adult oxen carried the load of the yoke and trained the young oxen.Jesus is saying give me your burdens and will carry them, give me your pain and i will heal you,give me your hurt and i will restore you. I will be your guide and strength when you are lonely and need direction.Put your faith in me and i will give you peace and joy everlasting.I will give,purpose and meaning to your life.I will make you a victor and more than a conquer. Get rid of victim mentalilty and put your hope in me(Jesus).

Come to me all of you who are weary and burdened…..for my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
Simply means just that.
That life can be difficult and painful is a given. It has more to do with the condition of existence on this planet. It goes with the gift of sentience in an corporal body. We take His yoke, we take His burden. We keep love. We keep joy. We keep fun. We keep happiness. We keep service. We keep all the things that have real and permanent meaning in this life. What we give up is worldly things…the flesh, and all the pain we keep when we are separated from His perfect and everlasting love. You know the rest. When we take His yoke and His burden we take on the gift of salvation in recognizing and accepting Jesus as Lord. Jesus has already carried the yoke, He has borne the burden – so now, for us, the yoke is easy and the burden is light. The difficulty in being a Christian is not in the pain or suffering that is a sometimes condition of life, the difficulty in being a Christian is temptation and the proper treatment of others.
