Writing Songs with My Friend, Mike (By Gotham Chopra)
When I was in my second year of college living on campus (at Columbia in NYC) with 4 suite mates, every time the phone rang, there was a race to answer it. Everyone wanted to be the guy to hear...
Thank you so much for sharing these personal moments with your/our friend. Michael was truly a friend to the world, and we'll miss him so. I'm 55, saw him perform with his brothers when I was a kid in NC; I fell in love with him then, like a brother. I can't help but feel sad, but so happy that he's happy, really happy, at long last.
Thank you for sharing your friendship with Michael with all who will get to read this, it saddens me to hear that no matter how much money and fame he had that he missed out on the most important part of life and that was his childhood. Having to deal with being an adult before being able to be just a child must have been the hardest obstacle of all to have had to deal with. He was born with a God given talent and will be taking it with him. May he find his eternal peace now. He will be missed.
You will be sadly missed Micheal. But I'am sure that music will Live on forever in our Heart's. I was really shocked when I heard about you dying. But go be with God now.... You will have your peace now. Becasue we all shall walk the road lone each and everyone of us!
God be with he's kid's and with the family also!
Thank you Mr. Chopra for sharing your personal times/moments with Michael with us. I knew behind closed doors was the only time he could be himself/normal, but it's so sad to read how he wanted to be normal with you and your friends on the outside but couldn't because of his fame. Everytime I hear one of his songs I still cry. He will be sorely missed by me and everyone else who loved him, And I have to keep reminding myself that now he doesn't have to suffer anymore, He is in Gods' arms now getting the well deserved rest he has needed for so long. God bless you Michael, and I will keep your children and your family in my prayers. R.I.P
You and your family were truly his friends! Thank you for sharing this!
michael was really a good soul. ipray for his kids daily and ask GOD to be with them always, and to give the Jacksons strength to deal with all the negativity that the press dishes out. God bless you Gotham and your entire family also
I adore Micheal Jackson and I liked him not only for his music and talent, but because he seemed so nice and gentle, like an extremely gentlemen like person. When I read this post, you write, Gotham, that he would often get ready to go out, but he would eventually back down and he would wish to be like you and just go out and have fun. Now reading that completely saddened me!
I just want to know if that occurred a lot?
And if he was happy for most of his life?
Thank you for sharing this story and Thank you for being such a good friend to him!
Thanks so much to you, your sister and dad for being true friends to King Michael in life and in death. As bad as I have felt as a mere fan for being part of that pressure he felt, it's comforting to know that he had some people in his life that he could trust.
this articles is truly beautiful.
