Glad to hear it is available. Several people posted at y review that they had either pre-ordered or were heading to buy it. I have used the book several times already for personal and group study.
Peace,
Jamie

Scot,
Off topic, but in your new survey, where would you classify small groups? This seems to be a significant one for many churches. Would it be “Specific Group Projects”?
Peace,
Jamie

Every time I read the title of this post in the Covenant Blogs listing, my heart skips a beat. That’s because I keep reading the “is now out” part as if it meant “is now out [of fashion]“, as in the “who’s hot and who’s not” mindset. So, when I see it my thought is, “Oh no, there’s a backlash in the evangelical church against embracing grace!” (Not all that unlikely, with teachers like John MacArthur and his ilk slithering around. Sadly, biblical grace has never caught on in some quarters of the church.)
The shock only last a fraction of a second as I realize what it really means, and then my alarm turns to excitement. I look forward to reading your new book. I still in the process of reading Jesus Creed yet, which I think is fantastic by the way. All the small groups in our church will be using it soon, and our pastor has planned a series of messages inspired by it.

I sure am liking this book.

Scot,
I am reading your book. I got it yesterday. I am about half way through it. Is there a website where people can discuss your book? I have a question about the section on Mister Rogers. What literature on leadership deals with what you described as ‘accusers’ vs. ‘advocates’? I am really interested in that.

Anthony,
The category is one Mr Rogers used so I’m not sure there is a literature on that. It really, though, is a major temperamental category, isn’t it? Some people read books and see what is wrong and others see what they like in the book. (I’ve always been the latter. I prefer not to waste my time just finding where others fall short.)

[...] I just began Embracing Grace: A Gospel for All of Us by Scot McKnight today. Looks like good stuff. More later. Since it’s all about what the Gospel means (a common topic of mine) expect to see it reflected here. [...]
