I am a big fan of Clarence Jordan -- not just for his stuff on the Sermon on the Mount, but also for his clever translations. Thanks to iMonk.
Here's a blog series -- I'm linking to the site -- that is a "virtual book" on how to read the Bible. Good one, Ken.

2. A review of my Mary book that reflects the spirit of Mary herself -- thanks Greg. Ted Gossard is now finished reviewing Embracing Grace -- thanks Ted for such a thoughtful and thorough series.

Thanks, Scot, for these links. And for your mention of my series on "Embracing Grace". It was good for me to go over the book at least the second time. (and I'll keep coming back to it) In a slow way like that. A book could surely be written from each chapter. At least one time it seemed like I was struck with how new the content was coming across to me, though I had read it before. Hopefully more will read it. Because it's on what the gospel really is and our place in it in the Story. It's right up there with your book "The Jesus Creed" in importance (or, how that love of God is manifested to us and through us to the world).
I have cold feet right now (even with the great slippers my wife bought me) so you and yours better enjoy the warmth and what-not on you feet right now. (though can't complain when it's 48degreesF this time of the year in Grand Rapids)
Loved your "good friend" Amazon. I have owned Amazon stock for years. Also, I think Amazon has a UPS driver here in Kansas City devoted to deliveries to my house.
Also, thanks for the link!
Hey Scot, thanks for linking me. Critique and suggestions are welcome from all. Enjoy Ixtapa!
