woo-ee! That is hot! (fanning myself) So very true of the pull of lover – the remembrance of him as lovers and when in the act, and – let us get to the bed NOW and once again delight in each other. Steamy as some well written love scenes I’ve read in certain selected books.
I read “fragrance of your perfumes” being maybe the distinctive musk body odor. I’ve heard the things about not bathing as often and masking smell with perfumed oils. Don’t know if that is meant here. From when I was dating my now husband, I was always glad he still smelled like how he smelled. And even now I prefer when he smeall like his smell, not Irish Spring soap.
Woo-hee! Hot stuff.

[...] Scot McKnight (http://www.jesuscreed.org) continues his series on the Truth about Conservatives with part four discussing chapter 6 of Greeley and Houk’s book. He also continues with part two of his series Love in the key of Delight, looking at Song of Songs 1:2-4. [...]

Scot,
I think the Song is the best commentary on Genesis 2:25–”The man and his wife were both naked and felt no shame.”
BeckyR, cold shower time
Funny story: Recently my 6 year grandson told our daughter (his mom), “I’m reading the Song of Solomon now.” He finished Revelation! She sort of jolted and asked about it. He said, “Aw, it’s got a lot of mushy love stuff in it.”

BeckyR and Scot,
I think this post and comments have scared a lot of readers away. Yikes! :0

Great stuff here, Scot. I’ve been meditating now on this book at work. It does remind me of my wife and I. This is how God has made it and how he wants it to continue. And often how he wants to remake it for us in our marriages, surely. Thanks!
