Almighty God, whose Son our Savior Jesus Christ is the light of the world: Grant that your people, illumined by your Word and Sacraments, may shine with the radiance of Christ's glory, that he may be known, worshiped, and obeyed to the ends of the earth; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who with you and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Double Amen. Triple, even.
I love the statement I heard once... " If we had a inkling who God is, and how close He is, we would wear a crash helment when we went with prayer to Him."
Please exuse me if this sounds out of reverence in this thread but has anyone read the recent published book " The Shack" by William P. Young? He was born a Canadian and raised among a stone-age tribe by his missionary parents in the highlands of New Guine. He suffered great loss as a child and young adult, and now enjoys the "wastefulness of grace" with his family in the Pacific Northwest.
Eugene Peterson states " This book has a potential to do for our generation what Paul Bunyan's " Pilgims Progress did for his. It's that good."
David Gregory " Dinner with a Perfect Stranger" states "An exceptional piece of writing that ushers you directly into the heart and nature of God in the midst of agonizing human suffering. This amazing story will challange you to consider the Person and plan of God in more expansive terms that you may have ever dreamed."
