A package from God

No kidding. On Valentine’s Day I got a package from a publisher, which evidently uses some kind of automated lettering system, and it just so happens that the letters showed up as “G-O-D.” Check it out by clicking on the image to get a biggrer size:

Our Common Prayerbook 30 - 3
Psalm 30 thanks God (vv. 1-3, 11-12) and exhorts others to thank God (vv. 4-5). Both emerge from the concrete reality of David's own experience. Here is what that experience looks like:Step one: David was set on high and was flourishing at the hand of God's bounty (v. 7a).Step two: David became too

Theology After Darwin 1 (RJS)
One of the more important and more difficult pieces of the puzzle as we feel our way forward at the interface of science and faith is the theological implications of discoveries in modern science. A comment on my post Evolution in the Key of D: Deity or Deism noted: ...this reminds me of why I get a

Almost Christian 4
Who does well when it comes to passing on the faith to the youth? Studies show two groups do really well: conservative Protestants and Mormons; two groups that don't do well are mainline Protestants and Roman Catholics. Kenda Dean's new book is called Almost Christian: What the Faith of Ou

Let's Get Neanderthal!

The big omission, I have to admit, is that those folks were hunters -- using spears or smacking some rabbit upside the conk or grabbing a fish or two with their hands ... but that's what makes this diet

That’s hilarious. A package from God on Valentine’s Day. Was it full of books? I hear he knows everything about us, so he must have known what you love!

Hmm, so God uses UPS when he wants to send a package? That’d be a heck of an endorsement for the guys in brown.

I knew you were good, Scot, but I didn’t know you had that kind of direct line to God!

I wonder if the fine folks at FedEx know that they are not God’s preferred package carrier?

In a similar vein, when I comment on a post and check the ‘Notify me of followup comments via e-mail’, my free webmail provider tells me I have mail from Jesus Creed, and asks whether I would like to invite Jesus to GMail?

That is too funny man. What is the acronym for? Meaning the whole company name?
Or maybe just maybe it was the hand of God changing the From: Line before arrival? mmmmm…., betta watch out Scot! By the way, I just picked up both the Creed and Embracing Grace. I am looking forward to the reads.
