Woohoo! Fun season for the Cubbies and all the fans.

This is huge!! Now, let’s keep that momentum going throughout the playoffs and not let up at all!

I’m rooting for the Cubbies, but deep down I want to say: “They’ll blow it in the playoffs. They will, they’ll blow it in the playoffs.” (quote from “Major League II” for those of you who don’t know).
As long as they keep Harden and Zambrano healthy and consistent (Zambrano isn’t always the most consistent), and as long as their bullpen (Marmol and Wood) stays strong, healthy, and consistent, then they just might be able to pull this off!
Scot, if they make the playoffs and I get tickets, would you like to go with me?!?! We can be a bleacher bum and drink a beer together!

Scot, I was 13 in 1969. What a way to enter adolescence! I’ve never recovered, and the only ultimate remedy is a trip to the Series with a Cubs’ championship. There are a lot of us out here. Thanks for waving the flag.

The Cubs will choke again in the playoffs. Maybe this year, they will at least win one game.

I’ve been reading your blog for awhile. I love your heart and your passion. I first heard you speak on a podcast from a lecture you gave to Starting Point group leaders at Northpoint Church in Atlanta. I’ve read your blog and Community Called Atonement since then. I appreciate your words of wisdom for the Emergent/Emerging/etc leaders. And since the Indians aren’t in the post-season, I’ll be rooting for the Cubs. (I’m an old minor league player who spent 5 years in the Twins and Reds systems trying to make it to the show.)
I’m a church planter who came to Cleveland, Ohio 22 years ago to start Cuyahoga Valley Church.
I think that right now, we are in an exciting season in the life of Cuyahoga Valley Church. We are averaging 1,800 adults in 5 weekend services. In 2008, we have sent over 80 CVCers to plant a new church, bringing our total of church plants we are currently sponsoring to six. We have baptized 73 people so far this year. Our attendance has grown by 5 % over the last year. God is moving and working.
Amidst all this activity of God, we are feeling God?s leading to prepare for an even more fruitful future. And I am now seeking to follow the Lord?s direction to transition his responsibilities to a younger leader. We hope to do this over the next couple of years. Therefore, we are looking for the person we anticipate may one day be the Senior Pastor of CVC.

Co-Teaching Pastor Position
Cuyahoga Valley Church (CVC), a growing regional, contemporary church of 1800+ adults, located in a flourishing suburb of Cleveland, Ohio is looking for a passionate and experienced Co-Teaching Pastor. CVC?s hope is that the Co-Teaching Pastor will become the successor of the current Senior Pastor.

Preaching / Teaching:
