Wow, you’re doing the NICNT on James! Now I have a connection to the two big “heavyweights” on James. Peter Davids and I were classmates in Walter Liefeld’s Greek exegesis class and Richard Longeneker’s Early Jewish Christianity class (I tell people that Peter and I were in the same room but not the same class!).
I can feel the aura already. I was planning to start a sermon series on Exodus next week, but maybe this is a sign I should be preaching on James.

Reading this blog forces upon me the disciplines of patience, humility, and – what is the opposite of envy?
Anticipating James for some 24 months we now face 18 more…
And on the topic of work: is it fair to consider what you do as work? Paid to interact with students, study, and write…
Now if you deal much with administration…

Looking forward to James. Congratulations.

Seems to be the one constant of life, transitioning…
Hope to see some pictures of the grandbaby, on the blog and in San Diego

Thrilled to hear about James. I always felt the current NICNT on James was a bit weak.

Love the book of James…looking forward to what you have to say, Scot!
Blessings to you as you come off your sabbatical and get back into the classroom.
