Thank you! I always miss the first week of advent and then struggle to pull it together. But I still have time to pull out the advent wreath and find some candles. You've just made my whole holiday season better.:)

This is our first year to celebrate Advent as a family. I've read some about the advent wreath, but am not sure as to how long the candles burn? Is it supposed to burn perpetually until Christmas, or just during a weekly ceremony?

Kyle,

We burn each candle about one hour on the Sunday.

I cannot believe that it is Advent already. Our Advent wreath is in storage and the gate to the storage unit is broke; so we had to run out and get a temporary one for our family advent tonight.

Looking forward to the time of reflection with the family.

Our family lights the advent candles so that we are able to light the 4th candle Christmas Eve and the Christ Candle Christmas Day. Therefore, we will be lighting our first advent candle next Sunday.

Thank you for posting this liturgy. Is this a liturgy you formulated yourself? If not where did you get it from? Cheers.
