Amen! Here’s the prayer I posted this morning http://bit.ly/BKAM :
O God, stir up your Spirit to inspire, encourage, and sustain President Barack Obama as he assumes leadership of our nation. Grant him the wisdom to address the many challenges facing your world, and the courage to propose bold and difficult solutions. Help him to lead in ways that reflect the responsibility conferred by our nation?s wealth, might and power to shape global culture. Guide him and all of our leaders to fashion a government that works for the well being of all our your people. Use the outpouring of involvement and goodwill among Americans to infuse hope into your people, particularly those who are poor, suffering and marginalized. Amen.

“That You, the Holy Spirit, might fill your followers in this administration with an abundance of your fruit in order that their interactions shine forth with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. May they give testimony to your Reality among one-another and those with whom they interact beyond the White House. Bring us a glimpse of who we are truly Created to be, those in your image following your path of righteousness.”
Amen!
Thank-you for your post Scot. Our family will pray through it this morning before we begin tracking events via http://inaugural.senate.gov/ … and will continue to offer prayer for this administration over the coming days, weeks, months, years.

Dear Father we pray for your continued blessings and love. Help guide our President Obama to have the courage, wisdom and strength to endure the long hard, dark days ahead. To have the humility lord to suffer the slights and wounds of spirit that will surely come his way. Grant him your divine inner peace Lord to endure. Bless our country and save us from our enemies and bring back harmony to all of our country men,we honor you God and help our leaders to walk in your light. Amen

Dear Father, forgive us for being so arrogant as to believe that you can not move the heart of a president that does not share our political views or come from our ethnic heritage. Do not turn your heart away from this stiff necked religious community that wants it our way or no way. Teach us once again that the hearts of our world leaders are in your hands and you can turn them any way that you choose.
Thank you for giving us a man of intelligence to occupy our highest office who has been drawn into some level of relationship with you. Draw him closer. Teach him to love your ways and follow your leading. Give him the boldness to make the right decisions regardless of the political climate, but sovereignly give him the support needed to implement those decisions.
Teach us to pray rather than criticize. Teach us to believe in you rather than believe in politics. Amen
