Barack Obama’s silence about the protests in Iran is telling. So much for Obama’s alleged influence on international affairs.

It is prudent for Barack Obama to be silent right now. It would be a mistake to allow anyone in Iran to make the issue about the United States… which is what would happen if our president started to publicly take sides in the dispute. Not speaking publicly does not mean nothing is happening and does not mean that he has no influence.

John and Nancy present two sides of addressing this issue. Caution as to avoid becoming a PR lightening rod, or outspoken criticism on behalf of justice and against opppression.
How does the United States handle this?
How do we as Christians handle this?
