Scott, thanks for posting this.

All I know is that a friend in Iran is sending me emails about what is happening and I’m posting them on my blog and linking to twitter and people are reading them.
It’s a bit mind-blowing to be more than an observer in a historic event on the other side of the world.
Someone will parse it for us after it’s all over.

All I see is the opening question and the green box with no links. Is this just an open ended question about Twitter and Iran or was a link intended?

Michael, the green sign is what is being used in protest in Iran. That’s all … and it’s an open question but more of a show of support for free elections.

I am reading your book an fasting, and can’t help but think that this is a good time to fast and pray.

Thanks Scot. Just wanted to be sure I understood. I linked the following at my blog earlier today:
The API revolution
Fascinating stuff!

This all reminds of Tiananmen Square twenty years ago. I was working in the MBA graduate admissions office at Eastern University as an interim director. After the crack down, fax technology played a critical role getting out the news. We also had dozens and dozens of people faxing us who had escaped to Hong Kong trying to become USA students so they could escape returning to China. The role of technology in these events fascinates me.

Michael,
And I was exchanging e-mail messages with a friend who was in a hotel in Moscow during the 1991 Soviet Coup attempt (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soviet_coup_attempt_of_1991). The control of information was revolutionized in the 80′s and the revolution has continued.
