The Twilight Zone (dee,dee…dee, dee…)

This is hard – I am sure that I won’t be able to hold to one. But we’ll start.

that’s hard–had to think about what show I just wouldn’t miss–And I’m caught between Northern Exposure and Magnum PI.

The Andy Griffith Show. I just love those characters. If I could live in any show on TV it would be that one (hey, that might be a great question Scot!).

No question: LOST. It drives me nuts, but it’s suspenseful, intelligent, unpredictable, culturally savvy, and has caused several discussions of faith matters in my house.

I really, really enjoy Good Times. I’ve seen every episode. It’s just such a quality show. It’s hilarious, discusses important social issues of its day, and is just an all-around great show.

Favorite show of all time: MacGyver. Show in which I’d love to live: Cheers.

I Love Lucy and The Cosby Show (hard too choose just one)
posted July 3, 2009 at 9:39 pm
Too hard to pick just one:
Ed: an excellent combination of humorous and poignant.
Late Show with David Letterman/Late Night with David Letterman: despite the host’s recent misbehavior, has more laughs per hour than any other show.
Law & Order: Criminal Intent: D’onofrio is brilliantly quirky, and the shows are consistently well-written.
Newhart: the innkeeper show, not the psychiatrist; the best sitcom ever, for what that’s worth.

Seinfeld

I’d have to say Mythbusters is up there – good mix of entertainment and actual learning. Of course, half the myths they test could be disproven in five minutes with basic math, but its just that much better when they then spend thousands of dollars to blow stuff up and prove it

At present, I enjoy “A Touch of Frost” and “Inspector Morse” most. We Netflix TV series and watch them on DVD.
“Eureka” is quirky fun.
As a kid, Bugs Bunny and Denver Broncos football were some of my favorites.

Alfred Hitchcock Presents, primarily because of the surprise endings

Oh, yes, add Seinfeld to my earlier post…thanks :mic for the reminder. Also, it’s “to” and not “too”…it’s been a long day!

Of all time?
Tough. Cheers is definitely up there. That’s a show that brings great comfort to me. It really is like visiting old friends when I watch it…
If I had to think of it, like which series would you want if you were stuck on a deserted island… I think it would have to be Cheers

The Wire. No contest.
posted July 4, 2009 at 9:53 am
I’m showing my young age here, but I guess I’m tied between Weeds and The Sopranos. For “regular” TV, I would say Seinfeld. Alot of funny situations in life can be tied indirectly to a Seinfeld episode. I was recently in Boston and couldn’t find my car in a parking garage. The mall parking garage episode immediately came to mind.

I knew I was forgetting one. Yes, The Wire would definitely round out my top 5, not necessarily in order.

A tie: The Andy Griffith Show & MASH.

Hmmm…there have been a couple over the years, but Cheers comes to mind. I remember tearing up when Sam and Diane parted ways.

Being a geek, I would have to say that my favorite of all time so far has been The IT Crowd shown in the UK. This program keeps me rolling every time I watch it.
