Zip, zilch, nada – no hope.
And Tony let you off (too) easy.

10.5 points is quite a few, even if the Viking win by a touchdown and a field goal you will still win the coffee. Although I suggested on Tony’s blog that his side of the bet would balance better with yours if he offered lutefisk instead of coffee. That might be enough to get you cheering for the Vikes.

I think you might be in good shape. Peterson’s ankle is iffy right now. And as I channel more judgemental neo-reform tonight, I conclude that God loves the Bears. Ditka’s already in The Book, you know, and Tony Jones….well….

Ah DJ,
Don’t forget – Piper is in Minnesota, and what ever he himself thinks of football, we can rest assured that many in his church and around are die-hard Viking fans. I expect you are misinterpreting the channel…

The Bears are going down by 21 points. It’s da end for da Bears,

Hmmm, well to be honest I would say you had better stack it pack it and rack it because he could have given you 30 points and you would still need to send him a Lou’s. Just buy and ship it, a classic sausage, only about 20 bucks for the large is always nice.

Be thankful that the Bears and Vikes only play twice a year (no chance for a third in the playoffs). Otherwise he’d pretty much own your favorite pizza place.

What is sadder than a Cubs fan who still holds out hope?
A Cubs fan who holds out hope and also bets on the Bears.
(Admission: I’m a fan of both).

Smart bet from Tony. Go Vikings!

Tony be loving Lou come Sunday evening. If you could send us a Lou’s I’d be happy to make this bet! We’ll likely not see the end until Monday a.m. Doesn’t come on until 10.15 p.m. We like our PVR!

Do you have a good deep dish pizza place on speed dial? Might want to keep that handy tomorrow…

@RJS.
Touch? !!

Sadly, speaking as a diehard Packers fan, I believe Brett (or as we prefer to call him here in the north woods of Wisconsin) Brent is going to take the Vikings to the Super Bowl for their first win. I have a large, autographed Favre picture in my office that I may have to sell at a loss if that day comes!
Vikings 34 – Da Bears 13.

RJS -
Yeah, but Greg Boyd lives here as well and he would tell us the future is wide open, full of surprises and this is still anybody’s game. But Favre is clearly anointed with a double portion, and so I’m with Tony on this one. GO VIKINGS!!

Jeremy,
I’m on your side on this one – born and raised Minnesotan, transplanted to the balmy south (SE MI).
Bethel Grad in fact (from Piper’s time, before Boyd’s).

Your chances are not looking too good just now.

I think you are going to be buying that pizza.
posted November 29, 2009 at 7:10 pm
Get out your wallet, Scot. Our second string QB will be in soon.
RJS – Go Royals! I’m Bethel Grad ’02 and Sem ’05. I knew there was something special about you. Now we know.

Tony should enjoy…

Da Bears got no D +++++
What were the toppings on the pizza?
posted December 3, 2009 at 8:02 pm
Scot, I imagine that’d be a Lou Malnati’s pizza? Visited Chicago 3-4 years back with my kids, and everybody on the train to Wrigley Field said the best pizza in Chicago was what sounded to me like “Illuminati’s”…
Once we deciphered the name, we discovered it was mighty fine!

Two things.
1. Peace coffee is terrible. Tell Tony to go to the new Bull Run if you want anything comparable to Intelli.
2. Doesn’t matter, Vikings got it in the bag.
