From Dan Kimball’s piece on emerging: “Youth pastors stopped wearing mullets. Goatees were adopted, but at least they were better than mullets.” OK, I understand this is a laugh line; I know this was supposed to be a “joke.”
But it gets to the heart of one of my problems with emerging: How many female pastors, youth or otherwise, wear mullets or goatees? Why is maleness assumed as normative? Why are females erased? Am I to assume there are no female youth pastors in the emerging church?

I thought some of the points made here (http://www.tuaw.com/2010/01/29/in-praise-of-the-ipad-a-contrarian-view/) in defense of the iPad and its features was pretty good. Her point about Flash, especially, is one with which I sympathize. Viewed as a netbook (as netbooks are used most often) it really does make more sense.
My guess is that version 2 will be when I bite.

Hmmm, is that a picture of a real iPad or one of the early guesses at what it might look like? Thanks for the Facebook settings link. I just changed mine, too.

Bears or Packers? That’s not a legitimate question, Scot! Da Bears!

I’ve signed up for the “Darwin Made Me Do It: Evolution and the Doctrine of Sin” webinar. Might be able to twitter the Dialogue if others are going to be present.
