We just saw this on the news. Sadly, we all laughed when the robber said, “Im a christian too, I hate that I have to do this”…hummmm…what does that say about us?

Well…if you and your husband both lost your jobs and had no choice but to steal, would you?

That is extremely touching. I felt “a lump in my throat” watching that.
I think it could have gone badly for the woman, and that what she offered was not necessarily the ideal answer to curing life’s problems, but the exchange between them was amazing.
She really kept her head in all of that and is extremely brave. This also demonstrates that people aren’t “evil” or “good”, as though they are mutually exclusive types of people. That robber was obviously suffering inside and he showed his pain in a genuine way. Hooray for honest media like this rather than sensationalist rubbish that would put people into boxes.

Sadly he robbed another store two hours later and is now in prison. It does not take away from her courage in extreme evangelizing, but it does but its efficacy in perspective. Now, if she were to visit him in prison…

Wow. I think it’s awesome and a lesson to all of us that she recognized he must be going through a hard time and making bad decisions because of it–rather than assuming he is simply evil. She took a big risk to show compassion.
That’s very sad if what Tim said is true.

That was awesome. And I liked that she actually gave a good answer. Like she didn’t say, “Jesus can help you.” But she also said she could help him get a job.

This is amazing! I don’t know if I’d be able to keep my head that clear in what was potentially a very dangerous situation.
Wouldn’t it be nice if all the Lindsey Lohan press was talking about this lady instead?
