Pat Robertson blasts SNL over Jesus, Tebow skit!
Hmm. SNL has poked fun with Jesus before…
Chances are, Pat wouldn’t have said anything about this skit had it not been poking fun at Tebow… SNL has used “Jesus” in skits many many times.
There seems to be a double standard among some Christians when the religious sati

Especially if it’s one of those “special kinds” that are allowed because they stop disease but not conception…or is it the other way around….I don’t remember (seriously, some Church officials have argued for using “holey” (har har) condoms that supposedly stop one but not the other.)
I remember asking during our pre-marriage classes (Catholics require them, not sure if other denominations do) if a spouse who had a sexually transmitted disease should a) use contraceptive devices to protect his or her spouse; b) expose his or her spouse to the disease; or c) practice abstinence. Each one violates some aspect of Church teaching on sexuality, and it is a legitimate situation a couple could come up against even if neither had been sexually active before marriage. I was basically told, “That’s a fantastic question,” by the lecturer, then he moved on to another topic. I did, however, manage to win major bonus points from my then-fiance, now-husband, for having the guts to ask.

Don’t fornicate!! But if you must, use condoms.
That is the reality we need to teach folks . . too many kids out of wedlock and stds running rampant in the Christian community.
Sometimes I wonder if true abstinence (no porn, no sexual imagery, the whole nine) is improbable without going nutty.
