Dancing... or drinking through life
I am not even sure that I know how to do a link anymore. I'm giving it a shot though so, three readers, please forgive me if I mess this up.
So Rod Dreher's sister is battling cancer. It is nasty. Their faith is extraordinary. Here's his latest post (I think)
There are 8 comments on it.

Back...
I'm back here at JWalking after a bit of time because I just want someplace to record thoughts from time to time. I doubt that many of the thoughts will be political - there are plenty upon plenty of people offering their opinions on everything political and I doubt that I have much to add that will

Learning to tell a story
For the last ten months or so I've been engaged in a completely different world - the world of screenwriting. It began as a writing project - probably the 21st Century version of a yen to write the great American novel - a shot at a screenplay. I knew that I knew nothing about the art but was inspir

And just one more
I have, I think, just one more round of chemo left.
When I go through my pill popping regimen tomorrow morning it will be the last time for this particular round of drugs. Twenty-three rounds, it seems, is enough.
What comes next? We'll go back to what we did after the surgery. We'll watch and measu

A Newfie for Obama
NPR asked me to do a short memo to the president-elect. I chose to do it on the dog he should choose... and why. Check it out.

Bush: Perfectly happy to stomp all over civil liberties.
Giuliani: Even happier to stomp all over civil liberties.
You’re right, they’re completely different.

My friend and I are both committed Christians who happen to have sometimes opposing views on politics and what it means to live out our faith. Best example: When I made a comment about the immoral conduct of some of our presidents she said, Yeah, like Clinton and that intern. Acutually, I replied, I was talking about George Bush and the thousands who have died because of his lies.

Bush: Sent our men and women to die in a needless war
Giuliani: Used the remains of 9/11 victims as pothole filler
Absolutely completely different.
And who cares about morals anyway right?

Hey now – Giuliani is only on his third wife. Let’s be fair here…

Kinda off topic, but it kind of amazed me people still cling to the line “Bush lied.”
Kind of an ignorant statement in all honesty.

To Vern, among other things, President Bush did lie about the reasons for war and about how it was going.

I currently am and have always been a big supporter of President Bush. But, I too have Bush fatigue and would like something a little different. I am truly undecided this time around for the GOP primary. I will definately vote for the GOP nominee, but I am not sure who I want. I guess right now, I kinda like Huckabee (although I am leery of an Akansas Governor,
) I don’t think he has any shot at winning though. Of the “big 4″ (Guliani, McCain, Romney and maybe Thompson), I guess I would favor Thompson. The irony would be if the GOP ticket contained Huckabee and Thompson as that would mean the GOP ticket would include an Arkansas Governor and a Tennessee Senator. Sound familiar?

Dan, I think by saying “four wives” David is trying to avoid having to come back and edit this post in October.
Did Giuliani ever have a Secretary named Bush?
