The man who SING(s)

Monday September 17, 2007

Categories: Faith, Popular Culture

John Scanlon was an attorney and a banker and lived a happy life in DC's Georgetown community. Then one day he opened his Washington Post and read an article about AIDS in Uganda. It was the sort of article we all see regularly - a story about tragedy and suffering in a distant place.

Fast forward to this past weekend.

A documentary he wrote, directed, and produced entitled, SING, appeared on GodTV. Here is a clip:

I will post my interview with him later today.

We have been using the "Invisible Children" documentary for a couple of years. Created by very young kids whose crazy parents let them go to Uganda. Powerful. Google it and see bits of that documentary.
